Why aren't there any successful conservative stand up comedians?

Dennis Miller is awful.

Ever listen to his radio show? He must have given up on making content because he usually just breathes into the mic slowly . . . He also tends to draw out his speech to kill time before commercials FREQUENTLY.

The dude has checked out of his career, did it years ago.

Its no big deal, I think he is funny and he is not supposed to be funny for some people because they are the punch line.

You clearly don't understand the meaning of the word "subjective".

What part of Pada's head liner is true? You should help him re-spell the thread so it makes sense.

The real problem is that progressives have no sense of humor. Every joke is forbidden.
So you're trying to claim that someone like Jeff Foxworthy who was famous when W. was in office is more controversial than someone like Louis CK or Jim Jefferies?

Why can I name dozens of successful stand up comedians that all lean left but the best you guys can come up with are hasbeens from W.s time in office? How bout a modern conservative stand up comedian?

Successful according to whom?
I don't think any of the conservative comedians are funny, and therefore I don't think they are successful at being comedians. I also don't determine one's success by the amount of money they make. The two concepts are mutually exclusive.

Like I said earlier, you don't understand the meaning of the word, "subjective". Though I will give it to you that the title of the thread could have been worded a little better.

These are some possible reasons, though I suggest that a waxing and waning period are common in politics and comedy. The link between parties in power and comedy may be observable.

I watched 3 minutes and 18 seconds of that clip wanting so much to laugh. I wasn't even able to crack a smile. He was successful in affirming my belief that there are no successful conservative comedians.

Is there anyone else you can offer?

Just as a note, 9 years ago when I saw one of Jeff Foxworthy's stand ups, I actually did get a chuckle from his, "you might be a redneck.." joke. But after the 963rd time of him doing that same stupid fucking joke, it was time for him to get new material.
