Why aren't there any successful conservative stand up comedians?

Who do you think has more offensive material, Jeff Foxworthy or Jim Jefferies?
Jeff Foxworthy is terrible. I can't stand the sight of that guy. I'm kinda like @see4 on Foxworthy: the first few jokes were OK. But after a while, he gets annoying, and his material strays into areas that I can see as being offensive to some people.

I've never seen Jeffries perform.

I'm not a fan of comedy shows much. I like horror, drama, shoot-em-ups, etc. So I don't know much about comedians.

I can assure you Jefferies is more offensive. He has a joke about getting his physically disabled friend laid by prostitutes

The point is liberals/progressives are overwhelmingly more open to offensive humor than conservatives are. There aren't many really successful conservative comics because people generally don't find that kind of humor funny

I watched 3 minutes and 18 seconds of that clip wanting so much to laugh. I wasn't even able to crack a smile. He was successful in affirming my belief that there are no successful conservative comedians.

Is there anyone else you can offer?

Just as a note, 9 years ago when I saw one of Jeff Foxworthy's stand ups, I actually did get a chuckle from his, "you might be a redneck.." joke. But after the 963rd time of him doing that same stupid fucking joke, it was time for him to get new material.
I guess we will have to agree what successful is before we can determine what is funny.

There's:

1. Not funny.
2. Offensive.

Do you think conservative comedians are few because people generally don't find them funny, or because people generally find them offensive? Or both?

They're not funny. How many times can someone laugh at "Git 'er done!" "Here's your sign" "Weeell, you might be a redneck if..."?
Why can't you come up with any examples other than the blue collar comedy boys?

I can come up with dozens of examples just off the top of my head, and none of those guys come anywhere close... Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, Bill Hicks, Mitch Hedberg - all from your time period sub Hedberg. Louis CK, Bill Burr, Joe Rogan, Hannibal Buress, Kevin Hart, Jim Jefferies, Mike Epps, Nick Kroll, Key & Peele, John Oliver, Lewis Black, Zach Galifianakis, Aziz Ansari, Eddie Izzard, Ricky Gervais, Dave Chappelle and the list goes on..

Well Pada, You said there wasn't any successful conservative comedians and then your list has some on it . You should maybe give the title of your thread some more thought and just say in your opinion liberal comedians are funnier than conservative comedians. Because the successful part of your argument doesn't make sense. imo

When was the last time you saw a conservative comedian kill a crowd?

There seems to be a lot of transference in this thread. By that I mean people use this logic. I don't find x funny therefor x isn't funny. As pointed out comedy is all subjective. Truth is there's lots and lots of "successful" conservative comedians you just don't know about them because that's not what you're into. They tour the south and make a decent living. I consider living life and hardly working pretty successful. IMO conservative are generally pretty stupid and you have to be pretty sharp to be a comedian therefor maybe less conservative comedians. Also, to say that progressives are less likely to be offended by jokes is lol worthy. That could be a bit right there! Just the other day some liberal nut group was protesting Tosh. I feel like I hear about liberals getting all bent out of shape over a stupid joke way more than the other way around.

Do you think Kim Kardashian is successful? If so, money is a measure of success to you. And I don't think that way, therefore we won't see eye to eye on this issue.

I would characterize Carlin as a Libertarian. In fact, I would characterize most good comedians as Libertarian.

When liberals hear anything (comedy, drama, world view, political opinion, moral judgment, anything) that offends their sensibilities, or their sense of moral justice they set about on a crusade to destroy the perceived offender. Liberals are fascists, in general, though I believe some are well meaning.
