Well, i dont really need any of that. I guess its nice to know though.oh yes, many more. x10 in the Corp. world. Fewer folks that know that the better. (see free education)
Alot of people seem to think just cause you own a buisness that money comes easy. I may not spend much time at the work sites, but marketing alone takes up alot of time and effort. Not to mention the stress that comes with everything. Im lucky enough that i was able to work for my equipment. I got a skidloader in exchange for a years free lawn care. I got a zeroturn mower (recently traded for a truck for my crew that ill never drive lol) for turning a 3rd floor into a living space. I got a quad that use to pull a trailer when moving landscaping materials in places a truck cant go by putting up a patio and gazebo.
I was a lucky guy when it came to that stuff. Lucky enough to not have ever needed a business loan.
I did work my ass off for everything though. What i didnt pay for in cash, i paid for in sweat.
I even lucked out with some of my contracts. I was in rehab with a lawyer who helped me get some sweet gigs with his clients, and since i didnt really know how to bid a job i just said low ass numbers and sometimes i even ripped myself off. Eventually i had a reputation for being honest, cheap, and doing good work.
I did however fuck a job up real bad once, i was painting a room and the carpet was torn out. I took it upon myself to put a nail in a floorboard that was loose and hit a pipe. Did 4,000 in water damage because the homeowners couldn't find the shut off. Of course i fixed it all for free... But it sucked lol.
