Placing thermo-sensors near heated buildings to obtain climate readings,.....does not make the correct readings, but does make factual readings,.....what a fact that is....

No, I don't see a problem with a field of study that is always testing itself and revising theories based on new evidence. Real science is meant to be challenged. There is a shitload of scripture that did not get included in the bible because the bearded men did not find it consistent with what they wanted to be in there.
