Ok so what you actually have is 92 watts of cfls, the thing about those is that they need to be an inch away from the leaves to do any good, you should spend 10 bucks and build a rig, check mine out.

As small as yours is right now just breaking the soil you'd be fine with one adjustable lamp hovering 1 inch above. No need to bust out the ruler either just eyeball, with a decent fan I keep mine 3/4 of an inch away, but first timers shouldn't try that they'll burn.

It's way easier to veg under cfl's for a month or so. I tried a 400 watt mh and the plants didn't respond well. They were too small and fragile in my opinion. Once they get a few sets of leaves then they should be able to hack it. MH put out a lot of heat

I usually share that attitude but the a one was begging it, it's all in fun though, didn't mean to offend.

Big ass cfls are great for seedlings but [this year] I started putting under 400w MH at 2ft around when 3rd node shows real good and it was a growth explosion I've never experienced. Could also be the switch to DWC but probably both.
I think it was the switch to Dwc more than anything, i will like to switch to Dwc too but i work all day and im afraid that something will go wrong while at work, plants can die in a couple hours easy., i guess I'll stick to soil. Toke on ====~~

Yeah ATM I'm using FF Ocean Forest and perlite thinking about cloning to hydro but I guess the MMG grows hella tall so might just have to flower her

Have you tried a horti blue for veg? Much better imo! I still prefere 100% hps during week 5-8 flower though. You have a point though, rather use cfl's for low plant count in a small room

I'm using enhanced hps bulbs from ushio. They do have more blue in the spectrum but I'm only using them in flower.

This is are the best $20 I've spent at Amazon. Screw 4-23watt 6500k cfl's into the adapter. Now you have about 6400 lumens per adapter. No hood or reflector required. Just hang them a few inches above the plants and veg for 4-6 weeks. These are 2 AK 47 clones, 2 more AK from seed and one seed of my own I got when harvesting an Ambrosia from Jordan of the isle.
