I think it was the switch to Dwc more than anything, i will like to switch to Dwc too but i work all day and im afraid that something will go wrong while at work, plants can die in a couple hours easy., i guess I'll stick to soil. Toke on ====~~I usually share that attitude but the a one was begging it, it's all in fun though, didn't mean to offend.
Big ass cfls are great for seedlings but [this year] I started putting under 400w MH at 2ft around when 3rd node shows real good and it was a growth explosion I've never experienced. Could also be the switch to DWC but probably both.
Have you tried a horti blue for veg? Much better imo! I still prefere 100% hps during week 5-8 flower though. You have a point though, rather use cfl's for low plant count in a small roomIt's way easier to veg under cfl's for a month or so. I tried a 400 watt mh and the plants didn't respond well. They were too small and fragile in my opinion. Once they get a few sets of leaves then they should be able to hack it. MH put out a lot of heat
I'm using enhanced hps bulbs from ushio. They do have more blue in the spectrum but I'm only using them in flower.Have you tried a horti blue for veg? Much better imo! That and you have a 12 light setup if I am not mistaken? You are tearing it up and I figured you had your seedlings down unless you are use to cloning? Are you wondering why I'm asking about putting under an MH when I have the 400watt CFL beast?
How'd your girls get so stretchy!?This is are the best $20 I've spent at Amazon. Screw 4-23watt 6500k cfl's into the adapter. Now you have about 6400 lumens per adapter. No hood or reflector required. Just hang them a few inches above the plants and veg for 4-6 weeks. These are 2 AK 47 clones, 2 more AK from seed and one seed of my own I got when harvesting an Ambrosia from Jordan of the isle.
EGood question. I think it's mainly the strain, she's meant to be tall and lanky. Kinda concerned tho, at 8 weeks 12/12 the trichomes are mostly clear. Going to be another month before harvest i believeHow'd your girls get so stretchy!?
