I suggest you learn all about heating and air conditioning...If you look at the permits pulled in your area,the bid amount for the job
HVAC is listed,a split system goes for more than 2200 per ton!Material cost about 1100 per ton.
So a 2 man crew fills the truck,heads to the job and is done in less than 16 hours.
Also,you can go out and fix a/c units...I average 100 per hour doing this.

I just wonder if growing weed pays 15 per hour?some times it seems too.

weed pays about 72 an hour for me at 18 a pound

Yeah, I hear that kind of admin bullying from a few others too mainly if you're a conservative. No different than the IRS hassling Tea Partiers. This once was a pretty good pot site. Now that's gone it's been replaced in numbers by shitty forums like Politics.

@Aeroknow makes $42/hr, which is pretty good compared to most carpenters in CA. Most don't have such a good hourly wage but that's the high cost of not paying union dues. Most carpenters don't work full time all year, perhaps that explains the lower number for annual mean wage.

Cost of living for carpenters in CA and TX makes the wage disparity a wash. An annual wage of $55k in San Francisco has the same earning power as $32k in Fort Worth. So, as far as UB's gripe about unions are concerned, he's wrong as usual. The higher wages in CA are driven by the higher cost of living which is mainly due to the nice climate and better working conditions due to those same unions. Is it any wonder that more people would rather live in CA than in TX? I mean, people like Ben live in Texas.
