Not the straight stuff, but I'm sure it would be fine. Back in the day when I was using manures because I didn't have the 4 or 5 bucks for a bag of 13-13-13, my rule of thumb was five gallons of cow manure and a coffee can of chicken manure per hole.
Yeah I have 16 yards of 4 yr aged manure being delivered next week. Got a great price too! 225$ for the whole thing delivered and chopped.
Sooo what is the biggest pot you have made? Gallon wise?

The big one above is the only one I made like that. If my memory serves me, it is something like 46" across and 24" deep.

That is a good price. I don't farm anymore, so I buy most of my cow manure these days. I have a buddy at Lowe's who gives me a break on prices, so it's just easier that way. But they don't have any other manures. I get chicken and turkey from my BIL and once in a while, a truck load of horse manure just for the shoveling.

I like that you grow other plants too! So many people have never grown anything but weed and they have no basic botany knowledge! Good for you man!

Last year was my first {weed} grow after 11 years of being on the wagon. I stopped gardening about the same time. I had truck farmed for 10-12 years before that and there is nothing like money to take the fun out of anything. The last few years I have let my veggie garden get bigger each year. Now I'm right at two acres of garden. It takes lots of time, but I'm excited to get out there every morning.

There has been lots of changes in the herb game while I was away. I do a mix of the old school stuff I learned in the 80's and the new You Tube growers of today.

I'm growing HSO Blue Dream this year also! I ordered 10 seeds, ended up with 8 nice girls. I put 4 outside for my Spring crop. I only let them go for 7 weeks due to insect issues, but I got about 2 oz each, and they were less 3 feet tall in 3 gal pots. I have clones of the best 2 growing in my indoor tents right now. They are in 3 gallon pots and at 22 days since flip they are outperforming the outdoor for sure! Potency has not been a problem for me and the yield looks really promising in the tents. Yes things have changed a lot. I was raised on a farm and gardening was my whole childhood. There is something truely therapeutic about growing plants and getting your hands dirty!

I have a bad back, so I can relate. But when my back isn't on the fritz, I love digging holes. I try to get them all done during hunting season, so it's easier to be in the woods without questions being ask. I will make some changes though. From now on, any time release plant food will go in when I transplant the plants. They are water released, so when you have a high water issue like I did a couple three weeks ago, all your time release releases. The first few holes I dug I was putting 15-20 gallons of soil mix in with the dirt. As the walks got longer, that was quickly reduced to 10, then to 5 or lower. Some of my really long walk holes have only lime, Epson salts, coffee grounds and fertilizers.

Good luck in getting some land. The few years I lived away from the farm were tough on me. Like I tell anyone who will listen, "they are not making any more dirt, so you had better get a piece of it while you can."

A disclaimer: I live in a sandy area, so digging is pretty easy for most of my holes.
