What have I done...!

I went to a local hydro supply store and bought some canna branded nutes and without thinking, paid for it with my credit card...

The concern:

Are these types of shops easy sources of grower info for the cops where they just have to get access to the shop's sales records every now and then to check the addresses of people who used bank cards at the store and follow up with busts on customers likely to be using the bought products?

I'm feaking out that the cops will forever have my address and just periodically bust me.
Should I be concerned? Has anyone done something similar and regreted it? Do the cops do this?

They saw you drive up and have your license number...picture of you entering the store as well.

I mean they are monitoring those places 24/7.

Just being here they can trace your IP as well....I mean in today's world to go off the grid is tough.

Take pictures with your smart phone? they can find where those are as well.

Using vpn, but I agree it's hard to not leave some digital footprint and photo trail these days.

I guess you could same that with all the porn being downloaded etc ... they could bust those people as well...maybe they're just too busy busting the big guys to bust the majority of the population who indulge in mostly harmless pursuits.

Some safety in numbers, maybe...

That's the thing if you are not drawing attention to yourself..selling to people...talking about it....etc....

You will be under the radar as they have many more bigger fish to fry.

i guess if shopping at hydro shops was such a big trap, there would be many warnings on site like this to avoid at all cost... I'm new here, maybe there are those warnings here.....

I might ring them from a phone box (if i can find one) and ask them do the cops regularly request their sales details and whether I should be worried...

My step brother made that mistake a couple years back. Cops came knocking on his door almost two months later. Found an .nearly finished grow, they arrested him and he ended up getting on probation and had tons of legal bills. I heard that those grow shops willingly give that information to the local pd.

They get harassed all the time...part of being in that business.

I don't know about them having to turn over records of all sales.

yeah, surely the cops would need more evidence of illegal activity to get a court order to enter a premises...the products are sold legally, otherwise the shops would be shut down, anyway.

Trust me , the fuckin cops are watching your house from your own neighborhood they arent giving a fuck what you buy at the hydro shop. If they want you they will get you regardless if you buy from a grow shop or K-Mart.

Do tell, why are the cops watching my house again?? 50,000 residents in my township and they are worried about me why?

St Pete. and New Port Richey Fl. are notorious for doing everything mentioned in this thread and more. Check the local paper for stories about customers being popped, ask old timers. If you are edgy, don't take your phone, park away from the store and ride the bus a few blocks, buy thing you can get elseware, elseware (Home Depot ,Lowes, local nursery, on line etc.. If you are super worried, PM. me, bundle up everything you have bought and ship it to my address. I will keep it in good working order in my spare room for you. Remember just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you're not being followed.

Be white, keep your hair and beard short, don't wear Pantera or Bob Marley t shirts and mow your lawn at least once a week. Maybe twice if you get a lot of rain. You start getting your Grow Supplies at a garden center not the grow store if you're that concerned
