That was true, until they began to feel left behind or not respected. As unbelievable as it is, Trump spoke to these people. That coupled with a deep complacency in the DNC. Whoops! Which apparently still hasn't hit home, because there is already talk of Dean and Kaine running for DNC chairman. Moveon.org and Micheal Moore are both backing rep. Keith Ellison, and arevcalling for total house cleaning, including a progressive platform to combat conservative agendas in the coming years.

It wasn't rural whites that affected this election, it was post industrial rust belt states that tipped the balance of power. Things really have gotten worse for them and it's been going backwards for them for about 40 years. For you and yours, it's been more than a hundred years since rural agricultural populations of this country were of consequence. I find it amusing that you take comfort in this fact.

At least we can both agree that your demographic are insignificant.

Propaganda went wrong . Trump is way more crooked then Hilary but all we heard was crooked Hillary. Then there was the use of the old campaigns against Democrats that where racist and the use of rebel tactics stolen from the left and Bernie coming into it and out of it how that happened made an open wound exposed that the right exploited.
Sure having a scandal (the emails) didn't help . And the Clinton's campaign did not address the propaganda enough. And there was the one about bill creating the bad laws like 3 strikes and the Hillary campaign did not address those things.

lots of rural land, and hard working individuals striving to bring in a harvest or herd, so you have groceries in your stores.
