See, that's why I get SO happy when I find seeds in the stuff I really like. Like this last ounce I just finished, my sister never found out the strain so I can't order it. But it's the first weed I've ever smoked that completely and totally and 100% killed ALL my hip pain. I got three seeds from it, lovely dark little beauties. I can't wait to get them cracked, but I have to wait for lighting since my outdoor season is ending next month.

I'd just like to say I think what you guys are doing regarding helping med patients is incredible - good on ya guys!!! Rep+ for you. If there were more people with your attitude then this world would be such a better place. I'm growing for med use myself, and me and my family are living on a shoestring at the moment as I'm unable to work (for the foreseeable future at least). So I know how much those you are helping will really appreciate what you are doing and the real difference you will make in their lives. Well done guys, you deserve a medal. And I sincerely hope all your plans and dreams come true for you. Keep up the excellent work ;)
Thanks... encouragement is one of the greatest motivations there is, because it tells me (when times are hard for me) that what I am doing really does make a difference, and that it is truly helping other people. I hate money with a passion unrivaled, and have a fervent love for the human spirit.... you can read about some things like that in these threads...

I hope you don't get bored with them...

The reward I get from what I do is seeing the smile on some ill peoples faces!! The sincere thank you is far more valuable then gold...

Loaded, I got some Big Bloom last night and some open sesame. I can use them with my Dr. Hornbys Right? Do I go by the Feeding schedule recommended by fox farm? Or do you suggest a personal one? Also the light schedule that you suggested, That is to be done during veg growth or Flowering?
I wouldn't mix them all together in the same gallon of feeding solution, but Big Bloom goes very well with Dr. Hornbys, I would go Light on the open sesame, if at all using it in combination with the others, 1/2 recommended dose to start about every week and a half (1.5-1.7 tblspns BB) to two weeks (2 tblspns BB). That reminds me.... my plants are due for some BB and Catalyst today. Your plants will have a schedule of their own, it is best to go off of what your plant is doing. Every different strain that I have has its own preference in feeding amounts. Some only vary slightly, but no two strains are the same. MMMM.... I remember the last time my friend grew the Dr. Hornbys... he used 1/4 dose of open sesame along with it on some Grape Ape, and mixed in some grape flavor extract just before harvest, that was probably the best grape ape I ever smoked, :).

I am going to keep my outdoor going all winter, :)..... its cheaper to run a little heater, and do some extra work to keep it warmer, :).

I almost never pay for seeds, :)

I get almost all of my seeds given to me, breed them, or get them out of sacks, :).... lots of seeds floating around the world..... people should be taking advantage of that, and making even more along the way, :)

May I ask what elevation you're at? I'm at about 2,800'. And what about the light cycles?

Doing unto others is, truly indeed, its own greatest reward. You two get to take that all the way to the grave with you, and talk about something to think fondly back upon when your gig here is up.

2,200.... vegging indoors, harden off over two weeks, then outdoors to flower when I an happy with their size, :D. Putting them out in batches, so they finish in batches, :). I will be flowering indoors. I started a thread about giving it away to qualified patients, people didn't support it too much on here, but in real life, people are enthusiastic about it and ready to help, :).

I am like Johny apple seed, But my friends call me Jackbean, AKA Thraxz.. I try as well not to buy to many seeds, I try to collect them from the smoke I get or from friends. I have in the past gotten some and its been 50/50 on if they were decent or not.. I try to get them from Fellow Hobbyist and patients. Seeds to me are gold.. If you have alot of extra ones that arent so great throw them in your Local Court Shrubs.. LOL!! Cant hurt!

This last June my husband and I had to ride out to Santa Rosa to attend a memorial service for his grandmother. We stayed at the Hotel La Rose in a lovely little room with a window that opened up to the back of the hotel and had a pretty little flower box growing geraniums. By the time we checked out it wasn't growing just geraniums anymore, and being as how it's in Santa Rosa, I'm pretty sure there was someone working there would would know what to do with the seeds I planted. Seamaiden secretly sowed some sweet surprise seeds. (I LOVE alliteration)

that is a touching story for me... I hope the employees did the right thing, ;).

I have decided to get started on clearing next years outdoor space early. I might move my perpetual outdoor harvests there, as I noticed that area has better lighting for the plants. Its going to be a lot of work.... so we will see, :). I will get started on it as soon as I have reconfigured the drying room to hold the weight of those heavy buds, :P... I will post some more pics tomorrow, :P.

drying room is now completely emptied, clean, and disinfected, :). let it sit for a couple of days, put up a divider between the intake and exhaust for the room becayse they are too close together (I will take pics of the room just before harvest), and then put in a thermometer/barometer, and run it for a couple days to make sure its perfect, :). Just bleach. I have a couple more lines to hang once I get some more hooks, then a quick wipe down with a nice Lavender spray two days before harvest to ensure its Clean, dry, and doesn't smell bad, ;).
