Who regulates cannabis nutrients, are they really safe !

Hi I want to know if cannabis nutrients are safe to use in cannabis. remember the cannabis will be heated up at some point, so will nutrients still remain in the plant.

I'm leaning towards the medical side here. As parents are administrating cannabis oil on there young kids.

We have terminally Ill people who may of suffered from heart attacks, strokes, cancer, mental disorders, chronic back pain, etc.... and rely on cannabis as a gate way to relief.


we already know there hasn't been really much research done into cannabis. So i dought anybody has really done research or regulations have been put into place for nutrients, but everybody knows there for cannabis.


basically if hydro nutrients are consumed, they will cause gastronal problems, leading to bloody stools, they even have cancer causing ingredients.

They are totally unregulated and the ingredients are never listed. They do affect the taste and do get into the plant over time. Best way to grow is without them in a good organic soil and a quality water source. I have noticed a huge difference in quality and flavor since switching over to growing in natural organic soil. They grow just like your backyard to tomatoes; people never buy nutes to grow vegetables yet they have similar needs. It boggles the mind how the industry has made so many people think they need to buy all these chemicals just to grow a plant.

:clap: You are totally right Richard. The hazard warnings give it away. I agree with you, 100 percent organic is the best way possible. To think somebody that might be severely ill and smoking chemicals to cure themselves is totally ridiculous. It actually makes me really angry. They wouldn't think for a second there weed might cause them damage. At the end of the day the patients just see it as a natural herb, plant. I've seen people qualified as high as having a PhD in medicine chemistry not questioning what's in there cannabis.


The industry has manipulated most of us, or even all to believe we need numerous bottles to grow the top shelf weed. They even stuffed the bottles with god knows how many chemicals and they given you warnings on the bottles ! And guess what they get away with it. As it wasn't meant to be used to grow cannabis with it.


Richard what you reckon, I know there will be more creepy crawlys, but I want to use soil from my back yard. I already have all sorts pests troubling me like gnat and spider mites, my lady bugs are munching them all away lol.

I have actually used from my back yard once, small pots for seedlings and had no problems with pests.

My soil has been around 4.543 billion years and packs a proper punch. It has all the nutrients it needs lol. Probably even a dinosaur or alien in it lol. Money can't buy everything. :bigjoint:

I totally agree with you Rasta boy. All over priced. You wouldn't spend 100 dollars on nutrients to grow strawberries. But they know people will pay.

Look for ORMI label. It is an Organic standard. If it has the label it meets Organic Standards. Not OG, natural or any other bullshit terms. Most organic ferts are proteins and minerals. The proteins are broken down in the soil into amino acids the plant can use. Hydo is based on water and salts.

On an even finer point, you don't see fertilizer specific for each kind of plant. And even when it comes to rose vs tomato fertilizer, you can see they always have the same ingredients, they just might vary the npk level a little. And they cost like 8-17 bucks a bag, that could fertilize a four to six light grow room. Meanwhile you gotta drop anywhere from 15-50 bucks on one bottled nutrient, which is usually part of a "program" that features two to seven additional bottles.
