I wrote about this in a different thread, but I'll recap here... I have an old friend that brought back about 25 NL seeds from Amsterdam inside ballpoint pens back in 1992 or 1993. Bought them direcrly from Sensi Seeds (formerly The Seed Bank) which is the breeder that put the strain on the map and who supposedly acquired it from the original grower (some guy people call 'the indian' from an island off the coast of seattle). He grew about 15 of them out and cloned the best female. He continues to run clones off of that original mother to this day. This friend is the person that got me into growing and taught me a good deal of what I know about horticulture in general. I grew several clones from this mother between 1996 and 1999. The genetics he has are arguably the purest expression of NL you're probably going to find anywhere outside of Amsterdam or, if the lineage was preserved, the Pacific Northwest. So I guess what I'm saying is, I've grown and seen others grow an undeniably legitimate cut of NL and, with certain phenotypical exceptions, it's a comparatively low odor strain. The smell it has is amazing, but not particularly loud.
