I'm going to use up a few of my left over hydro certs and additives on it see how hard I can push it
yep. my keepers are going in hempys for the same treatment. my bro ran one on the scorpions DWC last year on the same nute schedule as his green and it got REALLY big and bushy (nearly 2m and thats after he cut half of it off at about 2 months old cos it was too big). hes never grown veges before so the yield was piss poor - about a dozen chilis or so (he had pollination issues indoor and didnt know he could pollinate flowers himself etc.) Looks like they love the hydro feeding from what Ive seen.

Pretty similar method here

I go one per pot, top once then knock tips of at least twice to get more branching for more fruit sites. also pick off any early flowers and keep doing that until happy with the size of the bush. Adds a bit of time to the grow but I've given away lots of scorpion plants to people and I tend to out yield them 3 to 1 growing like this. Not saying its the best way but I reckon its a lot more effective than letting them do their thing.

I basically apply lots of weed techniques and it seems to work well
Hit the nail on the head..you know wat u are doing

That's gd to know ive never used hydro feeds on them...to much nitrogen can keep flower numbers well down and affect yields to

Haha - its been a learning experience. I've grown some sad looking super hots in my time. Nothing like getting in and doing it to see what works and what doesnt

thats a good point. my bro runs close to lucas formula so it wasnt particularly N heavy but you can get chili specific hydro nutes that are a wee bit lower on N with more Mg and Ca. Im not shy on giving them a decent whack of Mg and Ca when flowering starts - stops em looking so tired before the real fruiting gets going

Coco nutes have higher cal and mag levels than standard hydro ones they might be the best to use, happen to have some of those I'll give them a go
