Are we done yet? This is not nearly as complex as building a house. HLG isn't piecing together a fucking nuclear warhead haha. Please..sit down already ill leave this thread...ive built my own COB from kingbrite with some pieces of aluminium i had laying around for my first grow. Not trynna jerk myself off, just saying...these strips are not much more difficult. Keep telling yourself its like building a house, pen pusher. Lol

Aren't COB's still relatively new? And...aren't they still relatively expensive? And...don't they run hot and are subject to burning out? Give it 2 more years?

Guess that depends how you define new my first cob rig is several years old and there were people building cob rigs years before me. they will only burn out if you don't know what your doing.

And what warranty/customer service do you get from those Alibaba vendors? You know, the ones that want to talk you though doing your own repairs, or just ignore you completely? Will they have a replacement board to you door in 2 days from the time you report the problem? Do you KNOW for a facvt what chips your getting? You go for it, I'll pay a little extra to deal with a vendor in my own country thank you

Check out the led gardener build that pushes out 1000 ppfd in the middle with lm561c strips. Yeah strips..no one stands there holding diodes, soldering each one, tard.

Theres strips and there's going to alibaba and saying hey, dude, make me a quantum board with these diodes and your flood solder machines. Or even finding the premade lm561c on PCB on alibaba. (Same as QB) Which there are plenty...


Alibaba quoted me $5 a strip for lm561c...cheap af...that was the 4ft iirc.

Strips are not that much cheaper if you go to digikey or arrow.

You clearly wrote your going to "build" your light. You didn't write your buying a pre made board off Alibaba. Before you keep hurling more stupid statements try re reading what you write.
