I was looking on Ebay just a minute ago and the best deal I seen was 25 ct for $11 or $12 which is a lot more than I pd back when I got mine, but i only looked at the first page. You might just search "1/2" rubber grommet" and look through all the listings and find a better deal or ck Amazon.
his deal on ebay sounds a lot better, but I really don't care to shop on ebay! I don't have a good reason why, just rather deal with companies that I know Will do refunds and stuff and less worries about anything!

got today's pic, and I haven't had time to make the new scrog, yet, and I have to get some more pvc pipe, so for the time being i did a Lil bit of light bending, I didn't snap or break any of the branches but it's going to end up leaning anyway, so to stop her growing into light and buying me a lil more time it works!CM190217-031619001.jpg

I should have known from the beginning to put my original wedding cake cut into a sip! but I didn't, and this thing has Givin me hell, since day 1 of flower!

well lesson learned everything goes is sips now lol, but here was my best attempt at growing the wc with a living soil, and in smart pots! I used teas, sst, recharge, you name it pulled out everything I learned in 5 years, well it was a futile attempt but here's what I was left with!

as you guys can see, it's a Lil bit embarrassing, granted I'm happy it will yield something, but still a sad attempt! and a lot of work for nothing!

now if u guys hang out for about 2-3 months, I'll show you how she flowers in the sip, and I wont touch a dam thing! I promise it won't even look like the same plant!

I've heard smart pots are less than preferrable for living soil. They dry too quick especially the outsides which stops the microbes from doing their thing.
Still looks like nice buds though! Can't wait to see your next run of it in the sips!
Keep rocking on man I've been enjoying all the updates
Peace

well I don't know who told you that, but that's not the case with this method! I will bet you my first born! lol now not saying that that isn't true, but this method is more that just a living soil! it's a lot more! a living soil needs teas and top dressings tons of stuff, this is probiotics!

your trying to compare and hamburger to a watermelon! two different things man, granted you start both with a living soil yes, but in that 2-3 week time your setting it up and letting it get ready, things are changing and it's no longer just a living soil! for example, you cant cover a living soil with a trash bag. and almost suffocate it! 2 living soil can't stay as wet as this does! with out this method if you were to keep your pots as wet as I do, your plant would drown!

I really wish I could explain this better, and for that I'm sorry, but the first 2 pages of this, I've thoughtfully put down everything I know, how I do it, what I do, and every bit of information I've been able to find in a year! I've also added in videos and links to past threads where I've been working on this for some time!

and of course the most important part pics almost daily and every bit of my results! and they speak for themselves!

but hey hang around and u can watch it happen with the cake! won't be making her as big a safe 4x4, but she will be massive!

another huge point I somehow forgot to mention, there is never any part of anything in my sips, that are dry ever, if I peal back the black bag, it's literally raining in there 24/7!!!!! you can see the water dropping of the bag! plus the mycelium that grows under there only grows in very moist conditions!! and I do not top water and I do not spray anything!

look closely at this pic, and focus on the bottom side of the black bag! u will see what I'm talking about!CM181031-020628006.jpg

word. my bad, i didnt realize that wedding cake was done probiotic. I thought you were only running that in your sips.
I wasnt really comparing anything either, was just relaying some info ive heard. You may be surprised but quite a few who grow with LOS prefer plastic over smart pots for the reason i stated.
what youre doing is culturing anaerobic microbes, but its still a living soil. Just less O.
Nothing in my pots is ever dry either, except the mulch i guess, I keep a decent weight to them, but have plenty of O in there.

OK really stupid question but I think I'm just really high, was going to start building a new sip, but I can remember what size bit I've used on the last 4 of my sips to fit the 1" pvc, through to hold the floor!

I either used 15/16 or 3/4 but for the life of me I can't remember! any advise lol? sad I've built how many of these now!

the pic of the flowering wc above is just plain living soil, and organics in a smart pot! now this one I'm posting below is a cut from that plant flowering! seeing as its twice the size as its mom, that's should speak for itself! but yes this one is running the probiotics, honestly I'm so tired of saying probiotics! I don't even have clue what it's supposed to mean! I know it is this but that about it! the lack of info that can be found on thus method is insane!CM190217-031619001.jpg

@ Greenthumb just guessing but i think you would have a hard time pushing that 1" pvc through a 3/4" hole. I might be wrong but i would say the 15/16th bit.

your the man, I knew I wrote it down but couldn't remember where lol, I been searching thank you!!!
Nah, you're the man! Lol. Thanks for the time you spent on documenting and sharing all of this. I've read a couple of your other threads, and I've decided that I am definitely going to try this....

And @Crab Pot ..... If you need those grommets fast, it looks like most Home Depots carry them. More expensive than the ebay options, but if you only need a few fast....

Not sure which Island you're on, but that was my best guess for a close store. Lol
