DIY with Quantum Boards

Look at the test data on each part number. It states the test current and forward voltage-it's multiplication after that.
I’ve got some extra Hinflux 2ft double rows, so test current is 1.38A and forward voltage is 48.2= 66.5w, is that the max wattage or typ?

Whoops... sorry, i thought i searched the thread but evidently i found my answer

i ordered the HLG 600 light that i am putting together, would you guys know of any issues putting the driver on the wall and then running DC lines up to the boards?

Its just the wattage at test current, the data sheet will say the max current , might also show how the forward voltage changes as the current changes too.

Have a couple that I wanted to put under a shelf for cloning. 2 or 3 probably at 20-30w each 10” above my cloner. So since it is 48.2v then I can use any Meanwell driver that ends in 48? Think I got it thanks y’all

I use 3 x 2ft double row f strips for vegging, 84 watts, great results.
They're on an hlg 120h 54A I'd lying about.

My led strips started to flicker really hard when i checked them this morning. It was too hot to touch and I turned it down. It did stop when i had the tent zipper opened. Could that be why? Im gonna rewire so the driver isnt on top of the alum sheet.

you went over the driver's max output, as shown by dimming curing the issue.

Little tent love ....

Sour Stomper
King Kong Poison
Gojiberry

All is pretty much on track with the layered mix and water diet . Quantums are purring along . And getting some breeding tests planned.
I gave the girls a special watering with a 1/4 tsp of Great White myco to keep the soil happy. I have been letting tap vape off overnight to temper the chlorine and the plants + myco are happier for it . No weird purple stems so far. Temps are up to 82 to keep them comfortable.

GOJIBERRY continues to get more LST and shaping and is responding well.

King Kong poison are running well as a pack and shows the consistency from Hazeman Seeds .... always great seeds. They are about 3 nodes in and doing good. They also got the myco “ water “.

Solo cup in middle is another freshly popped KKP that will be STS later for fem pollen and my breed experiment for the KKP and Strawberry Diesel cross. Once I get going on that I will start a separate thread for those interested in some pollen chucking.

If your driver is older consider getting a back up. Especially if your garden in important as most are. Drivers will fail, especially if they are running hard and hot. Since yours was flickering is enough to consider. I always think about redundancy when putting together a fixture. For instance running a triple qb fixture why not buy a 240 watt driver and a 120 54v watt driver rather than a 320 watt. A driver fails and you will still be in business, even on the 120 w 54v driver you can rewire for 3 boards. Imagine a driver fail on a Friday night :-(

I am just about to pull the trigger on 4 of these qb120 in a 20-24" x 4' x3' h space for veg and early flower. Just struggling on the colour of either 3500k or 4000k. I was thinking 3500 ( a bit better for flower still good veg ) but 4000k better for limiting stretch. Any input is appreciated
