I don't think Pete will pick up many delegates in SC, maybe 3. I project 20ish delegates to Biden, around 15 to Bernie, and 10 or so to Steyer. The rest will be split up among the moderates who think they still have a chance.

It's clearly going to be a brokered convention. 3 states have had delegates pledge, of which the total is 125 but 25 of those have not pledged yet.

Not necessarily. Bernie just needs to pick up an average of 2 more delegates per state (less than 10% more) this year than he did in 2016, although he is a bit behind in that pace still to get to 1991.

I will say that it's clear that the DNC doesn't care about democracy, but at the same time it won't surprise me. The DNC will have to weigh their decision carefully if they care about democratic integrity. But do they?

You asked me a question, what would I say IF. I told you what I would say IF. The example you used wasn't the same situation. HRC had the majority of delegates in 2016. Your question to me is what if Bernie has the majority this time and the DNC does something different with the majority winner than they did in 2016. Obviously if they change course and do something different and not support the majority it will clearly show that they don;t care about Democracy. Of course this is all hypothetical, since your question was an "IF". Again, derp.

2016 wasn't an IF. He fucking lost by a lot and BernieBros went on for literally fucking years about how the DNC should have GIVEN him the nomination, which would have been antithetical to democracy. Now, it looks like he will win a plurality (but not a majority) and that the DNC, which is a private organization and makes its own bylaws will deprive him of the nomination based on their bylaws. So it's good to know you'll shut the fuck up and vote against Trump.

Would be pretty ironic to see a private organization with the word "Democratic" in it's title decide to pick a candidate who got fewer votes than the leader as the nominee. Not saying they couldn't, but would definitely show everyone their true colors. This is an issue they will have to wrestle with for the continued integrity of the party.
Except that's all BS. It is true that the super delegates could have picked him, but they went with the candidate with most votes, so it sure would be interesting to see them do something differently in 2020.

Not really. He's been helped by a foreign power. He's dying and refuses to release his medical records. AND he's not even a member of the party.
Right now he holds a plurailty of support according to early polls. That is a far cry from a majority. The party is making the correct move by preparing for a brokered convention.

Yep, if they choose someone who gets fewer votes than the party leader it could definitely be an impetus to finally ending the two party system, and could be the demise of the DNC, and would almost assuredly win Trump the election.

That's exactly Bernie's platform. That's what he tried to do in 2016 and that's what he will do in 2020 if he loses again. In fact, you won't even vote for him if he runs as an independent, so that is your desire as well even if you can't admit it.
