Hi everyone!

Does anyone run 24/7 LED? I find my plants go light green and just stop growing if I use 24/7 LED. If I am 18/6 then they fine....

Does anyone grow 24/7 under 500umol LED?

I do for seedlings and small baby’s. I Keep them under a small desktop LED 24/7 Or at least on all night, and use the sun in the day time. Then I cut the hours down slowly

Im using CXB3590 Sunlight spectrum. Perlite only.

If I give them 4 hours of sleep they fine.

If I leave lights on 24/7 my plants look like they are : Underfed / Overwatered / Calmag deficiency.
Not sure what which spectrum that is, 5600k?
If you manage healthy plants at 20/4 / 500 ppfd i think your ahead of the curve.

Ive hear good things about 15/9 especially just before the flip, real quick budset and low stretch.

17/7 here...there's just gonna be too much light at 500umol alllll the time, man. DLI

i flower on 11/13 at about 800 these days too.

What if I reduced my umol to 250umol? Would that be similar to giving plants sleep or still not the same?

250 sounds a lil stretchy to me, might be ok on 24hr though. i think im ~350.

why 24hrs? temps or autos or something?

Why not?

If I could get my plants praying 24/7 in my mind that's maximum growth.

It's just they pray then droop then calmag issues then like green then they skrewd.

It seems my clones grow under 24/7 light but once they get bigger problems start. Giving them 4hrs of sleep fixes the issue, but in not satisfied. I want my plants to grow 24/7. But how?! I'm struggling to keep them going!

I use 24/7 light until I transplant into the first pot, then I switch to 18/6. It’s been said that plants don’t actually require a dark period during veg, and I understand the science behind it, but cannabis isn’t native to a climate where the sun is up 24 hours a day. So I’ll stick to trying to mimic its natural environment.

I'm not trying to mimic its natural environment. I'm trying to get it to grow as fast as possible. Where am I going wrong that I can't get it to grow under 24/7 light??

Even if I decide to grow 18/6, I need to know what I'm doing wrong. I'm curious. I need to know! I notice after giving them a good 4hrs of sleep, when they wake up they are a lot more perky. Over time they get less and less perky. If they are really healthy from being on a 20/4 shedule and I put them on 24/7, they grow fine for about a week, then they seem to run out of food (calmag especially).

What EC should I be using? I'm usually at 1.2-1.8, maybe I should infrewe it to 2.2? It's first the bigger plants that seem to run into the deficiency then smaller ones follow. Maybe I'm not feeding enough.... I don't know....

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t try to come as close to the plants natural environment, but if that’s not your goal, sorry I can’t help.

Please can you share specs? watts? link to LED?
veg specs are a bit fucked .....moms, babies, toddlers. Just using basic "street lamp replacements" . Round , corn style bulbs , 100 watts each, bout 50 bucks at any home store (lowes ect..)
5000k 10,000 lumens is on the package but that dont say much.

All that being said , in my opinion , the plants dont grow much/if any quicker on 24/7. Its jjust been proven that it can be done without hurting them. I been doing 24/7 for decades but when i have done 18/6 , they seem to me that they grow quicker.
Bottom line to get them to grow as fast as possible with no other concerns , then flood them with light and food. The light cycle alone is not going to help as much as one might think.

Ever notice a huge increase in speed when you put them into flower ? That is what your looking for..... its the extra light and the sleep they get. They may not "need" the sleep but they extra light an food is what you need,
