DIY with Quantum Boards

I just caught a very small patch of those bastards on a small guy. I'm taking an at least five prong approach. First I am gonna put DE all over the room and area, then going to use an old makeup brush with a solution of iso and dawn, soak it down, and brush along the grain, then douse it again. Then I'm gonna hit it with Azamax after a few days, and then when that dries some Neem/kelp tea every few days. I am determined to murder them. I just got rid of some fungus gnats with Israelensis bacteria. I accidentally let the ghost peppers touch, not good. Like a middle school dance, we must leave room for jesus.

How would you recommend murdering them best?

On another note, slate 2s are in stock, fingers crossed for 648s baby!
Pretty sure they aren't selling the 648's for DIY projects anymore due to the reverse polarity issues on those.

I am a simpleton. What was happening? People were wiring them as they thought they should and they were blowing? Samsung not producing them correctly?! Holy cow.

Treated the plants with ISO diluted to about 15%. After the grow, I sprayed the tents inside and out with 35% ISO. And the entire room. Then washed the tents inside and out with bleach solution. Wiped every pole in the tents down completely. Then shut down the 2 4x4 tents for two months, Then b,eached them again. Bought nasty potent miticide and sprayed my house plants. So far so good. You see them most often at the beginning of flower. Not a spot on my plants so far! Here's hoping! And my sympathy for anyone dealing with this!

Damn. My heart is broken. I waited so long to get these new in box 320h-C2800AB drivers in anticipation of those boards. I don't know if I should sell them and just get the 650. I don't even know where I would even sell them though.

If you do end up keeping the drivers, you could always use them to power 2 QB288 R-Spec boards or 2 QB96 in series.

Or if you can afford to, you can wait for HLG to come out with their new boards.

I think waiting is the best option. I went through the 648 thread a while ago and Steve said they will be releasing a board along the 288 lines for "Spectrum Snobs". I have a 2.5x5.5 area, so I am not sure if the 650r is optimal for this for a few reasons, particularly with my remote mount setup. My plan was 4-5 648s across running at pretty low wattage for even coverage and keeping the temps optimal.

Cobkits has 8 of the diablo boards from the looks of it. Same price.
Thanks Man! Can anyone help me understand how this is any different than wiring two R specs to a slate 2 in series from a 320h-c2800AB? I would think as long as the power goes into the first set of -+, then wires the other board positive to positive, it would be fine? The reverse polarity stuff has me questioning things, and like I said, I am not a smart person.

There is no difference. in the wiring. Although most would be able to wire correctly, there are still a fair amount of people that would wouldn't. The people that hooked theirs up wrong, just fried their boards. What is HLG going to do when people call in saying the boards were hooked up correctly, but didn't work? Call them liars... give them a refund... replace the boards? None of those are good options if you want to stay in business. Answer: don't sell them as kits.

Maybe if we sign a liability waiver, they would sell the kits. Lol

We are training additional staff as we speak to offer all kits pre assembled including Diablo. The difference will be the Diablo will only available pre assembled. It will be a nominal charge. We are working on a solution so we can offer the Diablo in DIY once again.

Well, I just ordered them for my boyfriend from Cobkits, so hopefully we're not the kind of chunkheads to mess up the wiring. I'll double check with HLG and here to make sure they are connected properly before powering them on. I don't want to cause them any financial issues, much less myself, and like to see good businesses succeed. Is there anything I need to know about in particular before wiring a duo of 648s from a 320H-C2800AB driver in series? Board orientation differences from my BSpecs? Like one way in one way out only. board A input right side up, Board B upside down for connection?

Maybe one solution could be to offer them wired for either top mounted drivers and remote mounts with a bit of extra wire to it? Maybe a sheet for parallel and series wiring of 2 or more boards included with notice that warranty will be voided if wired the wrong way for your particular driver? I guess it shouldn't matter but it's appalling that it's become this much of an issue with people not doing their pre-flight checks over and over and making sure. I guess there is some mentality of "Ahhh the hell with it, there's a warranty" going on without the idea of doing all you can to never need the warranty. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, sell people any item and some of them will surely mess things up.
