The Claw from Co2 poisoning toxicity !

I’ve got a new grow going. It’s sealed and an air dump was to be installed tomorrow. Running 8 Fluence spydr2i fixtures SOG drain to waste in Hugo blocks via Dosatron setup. I’m running GH 3 part Useless formula as it’s basically bulletproof. I’m running a sentinel icg-30 and a Plug-N-Grow igs-061 Co2 controller a was going great during the first week. Lights were running at 35 percent with 750 ppms of Co2 plants were eating and happy. I came in at day 7 of veg and my co2 controller read adu-1 and showed 5000ppm (that’s the max reading on the controller) who knows what the actual ppms were. My plants were clawed and I figured maybe I had locked them out and I took to a foliar of epsom salt and and 5% calcium from down to earth but it did nothing. Usually that perks things up within a few hours. I reset the controller and after 5 days they came out of shock and the claw disappeared. Today was day 16 of veg and I was going to flip tomorrow .
Well I left the house for 6 hours and when I came back the Co2 controller had the same malfunction and my plants went from looking fucking amazing to having the gnarliest claw.
I just want everyone to see what happens when you use a shit co2 controller and procrastinate on having a fresh air dump.
I am switching over to a brand new trolmaster setup tomorrow and installing the fans and filters to dump the air every 3 hours.

I should mention that in the beginning of the week I tried reaching out to plug-n-grow via their website and the phone and have heard nothing back. The customer service matches their shit products.
If you have an igs-061 you should ditch that thing before it fucks you.

Scary lesson learned never have ran above 2000ppm but have seen this in stagnant areas of a room where the gas was getting trapped ! Glad you didn’t lose the room. Setup looks killa ! Happy growing

You should at least have a separate meter that is remotely viewable for your safety much less the plants. If CO2 really did get that high thats extremely dangerous to you as well.

On the otherhand it is possible with the malfunction that it actually dropped and your plants were affected by too much nutes due to a drop in their ability to utilize more energy from dropped co2.

Seriously though make double sure you aren't risking your health.

They bounced back after about 15-16 hours of fresh air . They were fully stoked after 24 hours of fresh air.

My trolmasters haven’t let me down yet. I have everything running through them For my rooms. I run their humidistats, thermostats as well very solid product. I’m glad you babies are good. I know the pain of faulty equipment failing and losing potentially ruining a room. I have it so I can see what’s going on remotely and sends alerts to me. Make sure you set it up. It’s an invaluable tool.

Why ditch the burner if you got a more reliable controller?

Why ditch the burner if you got a more reliable controller?

no byproducts along with the co2 with bottled gas. I don’t have to vent the room as often. Just seems a bit safer. Also if one controller failed that means another can fail, not that it will but it can.

Holy f*ck 5,000+ PPM is no joke.. I think over 4,000 is when we start to be in danger as humans breathing it.

I’m sitting here with all the parts, it looks like a huge pain in the ass. I’m terrible with computers and technology. If you have any tips for setup or problems that I may run into, it would be greatly appreciated

its super easy honestly. When you start daisy chaining the devices and the sensors follow how they show you or else they won’t work right. Looks like you have the right lighting adapter and for the devices that plug in remember to sync them. Easy as hell.

Trolmaster isn't "super easy" I think Titan Controls Atlas 9 or Atlas 7 would be "super easy" compared to this. Plug in and go basically.. Trolmaster requires setting up the main module with the auxiliary modules using RJ45 connectors. Definitely way more involved including cable management and sensor placement strategies & limitations.

My point exactly haha. Definitely easy to someone with your knowhow but probably not someone without tech background that just knows weed tech like plugging in 240 volt lights etc. lol

But honestly everything is laid out fairly clear on the setup. But we are talking about stoners lol. Either way he should be good.

Yeah and they have videos as well as nice documentation that shows step by step how to use it and configure it.
