Don't laugh at Hooters. We went to see Robert Earl Keen at the Moon in Tally, and after the show stopped by Hooters since it was right on the way home. I got the hiccups and the waitress showed me how to get rid of them. Worked that night, and still working years later. You rub your temple while drinking water. The fries were too salty, but the hiccup thing is golden.
That's helpful information, but would be better if tits were involved

I was laughing at the idea that this whole shit show was due to some kind of beef with a Hooters. No good reason for it, just struck my funny bone.

I went to a Hooters once for a beer. The next time I have hiccups, I'll talk to my wife about a Hooters cure. I don't think it will involve rubbing my temple.

I honestly feel bad for the guy. He was obviously in a bad place. He also didn't want to hurt anyone else.

He went out of his way to warn people to stay back.

I think it's sad you guys have no sympathy for someone like that.
I don't think we actually know who it is or why they did it yet to feel bad for the guy.

Maybe a blanket sadness for all the mentally unstable people out there right now struggling under all the ways they are being exploited, but until we know more about this particular nut(s) I will hold off on feeling too bad for them.

And the millions of dollars in damage?
Likely causing more economic damage than protests over the summer that so many accounts like to pretend wasn't done by white nazi's.

School shooters feel the same way.
To compare a school shooter to what this guy did is asinine. Their intention is to harm others. His wasn't.

I'm not saying what he did was OK at all. But since he warned everyone to get outta the way and gave the police time to clear the streets, I have a little sympathy for him.

I might have a little more sympathy than maybe I should, but my friend shot himself in the head this year.

Thanks. Ya it's sad. He actually threatened to do it right in front of me a few years ago when he was super drunk. It was scary as hell. He even pointed the shotgun at me that night and was saying how I have my wife and kids and he has nothing. I thought he actually might shoot me.

It didn't help that he had done shrooms the night before. He said it was because of the shrooms so I was hoping that was the case. Obviously there was more going on than just shrooms. He was lonelier than we all realized.

Mental illness is no joke, and unfortunantly we are seeing it weaponized right now. Anyone that has experienced this sort of thing, my first thought is that I hope people are taking a really close look at all their social media accounts.

Good god. Are we getting all teary eyed over this guy dying in a car bomb that very nearly killed several people and caused major damage to one of our best cities?
I’ve been down there on music row. There really are a ton of clubs in this area. Super busy when we were there.
