Need Help with first grow

doing first small grow (1 plant tryna keep it small) and shes growing in a micro garden from my local hardware in straight vermiculite lol ( dont judge im poor)
just need to get some advice on if this is even gonna work, im reading that vermiculite alone will potentially be too moist and soggy, and reading that 50/50 with perlite is a better option

if so whats the best way to fix my situation and get me heading more towards success rather than failure
I have some nutrients i plan on adding to the water a week from germination and its currently day 6 and germination seemed to have gone well plant just seems a bit tall already but not sure if thats what to expect

ah well people dont laugh at me im just tryna get a lil harvest going with what i can get my hands on atm

thanks in advance for any help people!

3:1 perlite to vermiculite would be much better

move light much closer to plant; that will help that stretching.

good luck! keep your pH in range.

Lol. I mean in theory you can grow weed in a store bought garden designed for fresh herbs. But you gotta modify it.

That light is probably good for the first week. After that it ain't enough. You will need to upgrade that.

In theory the vermiculite may work. If it does hold to much water you will have root issues tho.

Unfortunately you can't grow weed on the cheap or easy. It cost money, time, and knowledge to get decent results.

Also. If you are using tap water. That plant is not ready for nutes.

If using r/o you should have been feeding very light.

Its a mini herb garden haha, i just wanted to see if getting a little bud plant out of it was possible, please dont judge hahha heres the link to the product https://www.mrfothergills.com.au/hydrogarden.html
that thing will work for sure. your plant won't be big obviously. but if it was designed with vermiculite as the medium, try it out.

if that thing does OK vegging a plant, i'd think about buying a 2nd light to flower with that is more powerful.

Tbh i think im just scared i will screw it up by transplanting to a different mixture
any form of success in verm will do if possible?
Ive transplanted from one medium to another and have had no problems. Just be aware the PH requirements and nutrient schedules will have to be modified and not follow a standard chart.. Usually a balance between the two different schedules. I start with the weakest solution and work my way up. Learn to read your plants. Thats the hardest part of getting started. Also I would Get some mycorrhizae fungi and dust the roots at transplant. Ever since I started using "rhize up". Ive had zero transplant shock.

Honestly that is a great plan.

Most people kill their first plant anyways. Why waste a bunch of money just to murder your plant.

I lost count how many I killed.

Those things are designed to be on all the time correct?

Is this an auto flower seed?

Can put the light on a timer?
