Good books/readings for beginners?

hello everyone! it's my first time planting ever. so I'm new here. anyways I planted two feminized sticky glues by in house genetics. (gorilla glue x platinum gorilla) they were freebees. I did this in honor of spring equinox today and getting my medical card recently. I have stored them in a dark spot in the house (~65 degrees) in a little biodegradable planter with regular soil from the garden center lol. I have watered them. I plan to transfer them outside once they're ready. I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm sorry in advance for I will probably be asking annoying beginners questions. anyone recommend any books/readings that really helped them understand the grow process? happy ostara frannndzzz ! :peace::peace:

Your genetics kick ass! In House rocks some stuff. I’ve had some of their glue strains a friend grew out.

I just wanna say that most of the info you are about to receive/learn is flexible to an extent. Obviously there are a few core details that you need to follow, but there are multiple ways to do the same thing and you just need to work out what you feel comfortable doing and what looks to be working for your plants...which like like people, some are gonna give you a headache and others are gonna be very nice.

The goal for a first grow is to finish it with a decent smokeable result. Read all you can, ask questions you can't find the answers to, and use your first grow as a learning experience to build on. If you want to get into organics, use this time to read up on it and do it right the first time, same with hydro, coco, and any other techniques you read about. There are long threads in all the major forums on specific topics that demolish the knowledge contained in any book.
Also, growing inside you won't get a good result without good wattage, outside you have the sun, so...

There's a wealth of info in garden books. It's a different perspective then a book dedicated to nothing but cannabis. Most of the starting foundations associated with cannabis are hundreds of years old. If not older.

Growing cannabis is nothing but gardening. It's been science'd up to make it seem special. More stuff you can buy...

Get all the houseplants you can. Try planting some stuff outside. Okra is easy, jalapenos too. Grow some catnip in a pot. Because if you can't take care of a houseplant. You damn sure won't be able to weed in a closet.

I have that one and his other one too. Scored that one for 10¢ at the local thrift store of all places. Cervantes is pretty good and I have one from Ed Rosenthal too. A lot for nOObs to get lost in tho.

I beg to differ! I could never keep a house plant alive to save my own life but from the first pot I grew in '78 I've had a green thumb for cannabis.

Tomatoes grow best with the same things that grow the best pot so there's a plant to practise with and can be house plants too. Cherry tomatoes. Yum.

That reminds me. I need to dry out some tomato seeds. We have a few store bought tomatoes. I'll use those seeds and it better not be some GMO shit.

I don't think Mon$atan has got around to screwing up tomatoes yet. To busy coming up with a good GMO pot they can patent and make the only ones we can buy. Now that they are part of Bayer they will get 'er done soon enough. Dickheads! dick1.gif

The wife grows a few varieties of heirloom tomatoes and saves her seeds every year. Lots of garlic this year. She planted 1750 last fall and selling them for $3.50/bulb. Big Russian and Ukranian varities are in demand. She has 12 different ones and half are already sold so hoping for a good harvest. Only 500 onions tho but those are mostly for us.
