allways be wary of any second hand light, it could have been used for more then one grow, if kept in good condition they can look brand new.
a new light will be covered by a warenty which is allways good although more expencive, that waranty ids worth its weight in gold

I'm currently running a ViparSpectra p4000 in my 8x4x6.5 tent, honestly If I wasnt going to use every square inch of the tent one of these light would be enough but I bought another one, i rather dim them both then have one trying to do more. the p4000 light print is 5x5 in veg and 4.5x4.5 in flower and it costs 398 and comes with a 3 yr warranty.

I’d run two of those in a 4x4 if not your looking at just 25 watts a sqft

dont you mean.....refer to pics... the p4000 is equivalent to a 1000 hp so..... as I was saying I rather dim them then be chasing rays.
P4000 ensures 3x3ft vegetative coverage, and 2.5x2.5ft flowering coverage so, what are you dimming?
That light is not even close to 1000w HPS. @400w from the wall in a 4x4 space you're looking at 25W per Sq ft as @Lordhooha stated above.

"P4000 ensures 3x3ft vegetative coverage, and 2.5x2.5ft flowering coverage" is direct copy from their website. Just because they say it's equivalent to 1k HPS does NOT make it so.
Good luck.

and just so anyone else reading this thread doesn't get misinformed here's the model @Creature1969 was spec quoting. p.s it's the p1500 not the p4000 which is what I'm using. scroll the pic to see the coverage specs.
I did mean the p4000 I would run 2 of them in a 16 sqft area. They're all of 400 watts each. You want that power of two.

Listen to the advice you're getting.
You need a minimum 640W LED for a 4x4 tent. Don't look at equivalent.
Good pre-built lights are gonna cost you close to 8 bills.

1000W equivalent is not the actual watts.
It is some made up number by marketing departments.
LH is right ... they are only 400W lights.
About 2/3 of the power needed for a 4X4.
Will it grow weed? Sure.
Will you be happy with the quality? Probably not.
You can get some good buds in the sweet spot.
Anything on the edges will suffer.

Do you need the actual page from their site? Misinformed is you not reading ALL the info. Calling me misinformed makes youi look foolish for not doing your homework.
As I stated before. Good luck. I'm out.

dude I repeatedly posted the spec info straight from their website and you are clearly quoting the specs of the p1500 not the p4000, you in fact are the foolish looking one who apparently cant distinguish the different model types.... so here we go again with the specs of the two models the first pic is of the p1500 the 2and pic is the p4000.... fool.

4x4 grow the minimum wattage you’d want us 600 true watts of LED. You could get 2 Mars Hydro TSL2000 which are 300 watts each and spend about $500 for the pair. Rule of thumb is 32 watts per square foot minimum while most try to stay around 40-50 watts per square foot
