Megacrop

Just finishing up week 3, using MC 2 part in recycled peat substrate. Any thoughts on a reasonable PPM for runoff? Im mixing my MC drench to about 1200ppm alternating btw water and feed. These are 3 and 5 gal smarts.

Are most of you running mc 2 part plus epsom? I seem to have issues when i add, so i have seen omitting epsom.
Following 80% of their recomended amount. Just switched to flower and im at 500ppm 50-50 part 1 and 2.

I recently switched to 2 part and not sure my feelings about it yet
I used Epsom salts in the original Megacrop but the MFR says it isn't needed in the new formula
I'll have a better handle on it once I complete a run

I'm still on a bag of the v2. Didn't know they changed their formula again. Let us know how it is compared to the old formula.

With the v2 I use a spoonful of Epsom per gal or two of feed or I find I get problems.

Does the new formula dissolve easier? One thing I've found with the old MC is no matter how much I mix it I still end up with debris.

The new looks like the typical salt based powder fertilizer which is concerning but no debris

How much epsom and what probs? In veg I'm adding 90ppm (500 scale) based on @TintEastwood 's work. He reduces epsom in mid and none in full flower. Plants loving life.

I have better results in coco when Mg is at least half of Ca ppm.

I think i was followimg tints protacol. They kinda looked overfertilised. Maybe my epsom was crap? I did reciently pick up some from the hydro shop.

There are differences in Empsom salts grade but I'm not sure if makes any difference for plants. When I was talking to my agri supplier I asked the sales lady and she said you want Chinese made Tech Grade for farms or non Chinese that you can safely bath in and feed your plants also lol.

I usually keep my mothers and young veg at 400ppm. Mega crop 1 with mega cal mag, i think i was running 5 grams to 3 of mega cal mag no epsom 10L ro. with good luck. Minimal runoff. Maybe 10% ppm stayes a little higher in runoff. I dont usually check but probly 500-600ppm runoff.

So with mega 2 part. I mixed up to 400 ppm with epsom regular bathing no sents looks like regular epsom. Had some issues. Tried without and things looked better.
I have a from seed grow going now in coco-perlight and besides a slow start with under fertigating they are looking great at megas early veg at 400ppm no epsom i think 80% of their recomended dose. Just repotted today ill get a pick up tomorrow.

Ya i would think just regular epsom should be the same. I did pick up some plant grade so i may add a small amount to see. But as now things look great.
 
Hears at 400ish ppm 80% of MC dose. No epsom. Just up potted yesterday from 1L to 1g. I don’t see any signs of mag def. You?
The small one partial shot, does have an issue. I unpotted and put her in rock wool so she is a little pissy.

Hard to see but the slight discoloration between the veins is usually the start of MG issues which causes N update or maybe too low ppm.
