You realize efficiency isn't the end all be all. Some lights specifically design around efficiency some design especially around power some especially around cooling and on and on reason because but every grower cares about efficiency , not every grower cares about max power output or some nit caring about cooling. Considering they are leds all of them are efficient when compared to traditional lighting Some more so them other of course , some much more efficiency. If somebody grows a pound and a half with any led grow light being talked about today they are winning because it would pay for its. In one grow. I'm on my first full run with black dog and am satisfied at the moment. I don't know with light is the best In the market. But I do know about supply and demand. And fact of the matter is all these light continue to sell off the shelve from the cheap ones to the most expensive ones and the reason is because people like the performance they get. If you are a decent grower you will get good buds from pretty much all of these lights. The light is just one tool in a growers tool box it is not the holy grail of tools a bad grower will get shit weed under the hlg and any other grow light a good grower will get decent weed from any of those as well

Ah thanks @Scuzzman but I didn't mean to start an argument! The only thing I can add to prawn's posts is that the reason why I posted two different spectrographs on the website is because most other manufacturers post similar hand-help graphs on theirs so it's something familiar and comparable. You have to realise that most hand-held spectrometers only measure every 8-10nm so the peaks are always rounded whereas the goniometer measures every 1-2nm, so it records every peak and looks a lot more "spiky". That's why the two graphs are not identical even though they are exactly the same spectrum. Maybe I have to change the website for those who don't realise this and think there is something "fishy" about the two graphs. But I can assure you, they are the same.
Why not keep the two graph examples, and just add a note explaining as you have done above. Think adding to potential customers knowledge/understanding can only be a plus.

I’ve only ran into one commercial guy in my travels that had some of these lights. He bought them awhile ago. I believe he just sold off the lot of them (around 70 ) for 300-400 each. It took him a several months for him to offload them even at that price. People prefer better quality then BD can provide.

Hey mate, to be honest I thought it was obvious that they were the same graph taken with different spectrometers. They look the same and it wasn't until someone else in this thread pointed it out that I realised they didn't know the difference. We could update the website and I agree with your point that more knowledge is more power, but it hardly seems worth it to start explaining the difference between a Lighting Passport and a Goniometer considering one is a simply a hand-held spectrometer and the other is a full-blown light testing machine with all the accompanying info. This is the first time anyone has mentioned it.

Just build your own lights it's way cheaper. U get a better light for your exact space that's what I did 2 years ago I got 8 Samsung strips with the lm301h for $302 and you can buy drivers hlg320 two of them for the 80watt strips well if u was to run 6-8 should work good luck buddy
