Another story that proves guns make people safer

Most new pistols come with some sort of locking device when sold
my husband a police officer told me 'if you are not loaded it's not a gun' and insisted keeping it around in places i was uncomfortable with, being we had small children..'they need to learn'. me: after they blow they head off?

PS i remember being seven and going into 'off limits' places when no one was around; high up over the refrigerator was a kitchen chair>counter>top of refrigerator..my first foray into Southern Comfort..if a kid wants to get into something they will.

Well he was right in the fact they need to learn if there are firearms in the home. I was brought up with guns, and inevitably found ways to get at them. I was also taken hunting at a very young age and safe handling was one of the lessons taught. All of the safeguards in the world will not stop some tragedies to occur other than the total banning of handguns of which can be hidden and carried into any public place IMO. Yes it’s a draconian step but it seems the only logical step given the shit that is happening more and more. Stupid humans :(.

My folks were throwing a big ass party when I was like 1 or 2, they would put on multi day things with bands and 100s of people. Well tiny me crawled over and started sipping bourbon from a bottle. My mom was like "well, I saw you go there, figured you would spit it out and think it was gross and learn not to do that...didn't work out." Of course it was taken away quickly....but that stuff tastes like brown sugar and is delicious mmmhmm, way to miscalculate.

it's a little hard to hold a conversation of any meaning with a two or three year old and expect them to get it. i don't ever remember him sitting down as a father and LEO about the safety measures with them.

of the whiskies, bourbon is my fave because of the sweetness a friend tried to get me into scotch but no go.

i was busted for having a QP when i was about 14, and was ordered into "drug treatment"...the closest treatment facility was at the Fergus Falls state mental hospital. we were in a separate building, but had to go to the main building for school and meals...i wouldn't call being confined indefinitely in a place like that "living"...it was pretty fucking grim. i think i'd rather take my chances in prison, at least there your release date is set, in the hospital, they get to decide when you're safe to let go, which may be never...i'm kind of expecting this guy to die in there

Well at 2-3 it’s pretty easy to stop them from getting at any firearms with a lock :(. I was referring to a bit older kids. So ya if a 2-3 year old had access then your ex was sadly, an idiot.

Things are pretty tense around here. They had a large candle light vigil in Oxford last night and someone in the crowd fainted, when someone else yelled for help the crowd panicked thinking it was a attack and stampeded, don't know if anyone was hurt. A affluent small town about 12 miles away has canceled it's Christmas parade because of it.

don't you think you could fake being mentally incompetent though?? i think i could. i'd rather be at a mental hospital than a real prison i think. better drugs.

just looks like an opportunity for dumbasses to burn themselves to death...i'm good with that, as long as they don't take innocent bystanders with them...who the fuck am i kidding, any innocent bystanders will get the fuck away from them when they pull that fucking thing out....
just don't throw any projectiles like plastic bags and you should be good to go.

'Medic..anyone need a Medic'? i keep thinking if he were there for Medic how come Kyle didn't assist those he shot?
