Old smoker - 1st grow - still have a few weeks i think?

Update - Day 99 from seed - Day 71 of flower - Trichs are mostly cloudy and 5-10% amber on both.

Ideally, I would like more amber. I think the first plant has enough leaves to last a while yet but the 2nd plant is about out of fuel. Do you think they would last another week or so?

Should I chop the 2nd and let the other go for another week?

2nd plant has a few fox tails on each bud too.

Also found a glob of resinous stuff on one bud on the 2nd plant. It's hard to see but it looks like a bug is trapped inside....like prehistoric amber. I'll get a better look when I chop her down.

@grampus_maximus ,looking tasty. You have the right idea, I'd say they're ready anytime. I don't know enough about your glob but some plants can bleed or secrete resin and I'm sure someone smarter then me will let us know the scientific terms for this. Give photos a chance I don't think you'd go back to autos, I can say that bob bitchens Chernobyl is something special as far as affordable current seeds go.
 
They may swell more are they still drinking. Plus it looks like you will have a good harvest. It will hold you for a while. I think I would cut the little bug bud off and do a closer examination on it.

I'm definitely moving to photos in the near future. I'm relocating in the next 6 months or so and just going with another round of GG4 autos...almost ready to start them. Going with living soil this time around (Earth Dust and water). Can it really be that easy...lol? I am going to start buying up some photo seeds though. Who sells the Chernobyl?

They are still drinking pretty good....about a 3/4 to 1 gal every 3 to 4 days. Still feeding full strength nutrients and have been feeding molasses once every 2 weeks along with Sea-90 minerals and trace elements.

I chopped the largest plant about 2 weeks ago. It was starting to eat its sugar leaves. Hated to do it early like that but I screwed up with deficiencies early on and it never recovered. After 7 day dry, it's curing in grove bags. I used a moisture meter to tell me when buds were dry enough to put in the bags.

It hits like a medium strong sativa right now...good day time high that lasts an hour to 1 1/2 hours. Hopefully it will get more potent as it cures. I got 1 1/2 lbs wet with all the big stems and a little over 1/4 lb (114 g) dry. Most of the buds are really dense...some are just rock hard after drying...and thick.

I'm hoping to get 2 to 3 oz dry off both the smaller plants combined but it should be quite a bit better smoke....something for night time. Then I still have one more left in this grow with about 1 month or more to go.

I cut it off this morning. It's a bug all right. Looks like an ant of some kind. Don't have a big bug problem here but ants are the most common pest I see.

First grow, unbelievably nice looking stuff. I never grew anything that even budded out.
Partnered with a guy once who had a hydro, but he wouldn't let me near until it was
harvested. It turned out bad, i never saw it, really. Yours is fabulous looking. Congrats!

It's definitely possible. I haven't seen anything else other than this on the plants but there may be some tiny stuff I can't see.

Tell that to the ants...lol. I check them over every day but I definitely missed this until I was checking trichs on the lower buds yesterday and saw it. I'm going to go with a new terp called Antene or Antinol. Surely it will only add to the flavor :eyesmoke:

I made a lot of mistakes but they only help make future grows better.
