Gun control is coming

LOL, you think I'm the crazy one because I don't expect the police to fight back with equal force like it's a college bar brawl? You call that crazy, I call that common sense.

I don't want to get off topic though, this is about gun control. I'm still waiting to see how many mass shooting events that the governments of the G7 have done against citizens. I want to understand why some are so afraid of government, and showing me examples would do that.
Killing an unarmed person is escalating the conflict. You may be okay with the government taking people's lives I am not. The government has no rights whatsoever. Any and all government should be subservient to the people.

Every law enforcement officer goes through use of force training. Shooting an unarmed individual that it's not threatening your life it's not appropriate use of force. If anyone wants to defend the government's right to kill a citizen that I must emphatically object to the opinion

i've seen prison tower guards shoot unarmed escapees off the wall and sit down and have lunch, and then go home to their wife and kids.

I suggest you may find a different tack fruitful.

Consider the libertarian delusion complex. You’ve experienced libertarian thought being presented by some here. To libertarians, central government is inherently evil.

The great irony is that practicing the libertarian trinity (small central government enforced by low or no taxation, states’ rights, unregulated market) rolls out the red carpet for fascism, which would seem antithetical to libertarianism. The deeper you dig, the more exploitable (by authoritarians) utopianism you encounter. They say they fear intrusive government, while working to plow the ground for it.
I hear what you're saying, but I do think it is important to differentiate the people with libertarian ideation from those that just oppose gun control. There are quite a few that still believe in government but oppose restrictions on gun control, and the only argument seems to be to protect against tyrannical government.

In a perfect world, libertarianism would be possible and maybe ideal. But it's not a perfect world and I don't want to live like a viking or Genghis Khan, and happily pay taxes to support a better life for all.

Defend your argument that's okay for a police force kill a
Un armed citizen . Why not run people over with tanks if they disagree with government? You can compare a prison filled with incarcerated convict to an unarmed vetern not charged or guilty of anything. Most people who do not want to accept the truth try and change the subject As You Are. murdered. By the standards they chose , many otherwise should have been justifiable taken. The government has no rights and the people do not acquiesce to the government

What's your take on Kenosha, Wisconsin and the Kyle Rittenhouse saga? I'm curious if you apply the same standard there or is it different because it was not the government? The way you speak of government makes it sound like it's a single entity, instead of a group of citizens elected by other citizens to help navigate society in such a manner that we can all co-exist without constant warring between tribes.

Seems like you're okay with a life being taken. The lady murdered at the White House was not a physical or deadly threat to the person that killed her. The way I see it that individuals to be charged with murder. It's not okay to kill people just because you have a bag

The way I see it that individuals that invaded the capitol should to be charged with murder. It's okay to kill people just because you are part of an invading mob threatening to hang members of congress.

I’m pretty dead set against a political philosophy with unicorn in the recipe.

It just seems to me that you are trying to reason with certain posters’ articles of faith. Nobody wins.

there has never been a mass shooting by the government of this country. there have been a few armed stand offs, with people who seem to try to actually practice the horseshit that rob roy spews, but there has NEVER been an incident where the police or the national guard used lethal force against a group of American citizens...ever. water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas...yes. i'm sure there have ben isolated fatalities in those events, but never live ammo, never anything that hasn't been judged "nonlethal"...
i don't know about the g7, but that kind of shit makes big news, and i've been watching the news since the early 80s, and don't recall one such incident.

that's just an ignorant statement.
they took that woman's life because she was threatening to take the lives of others. she was warned, multiple times and persisted. so she got shot.
the police and the military are given the responsibility to protect the rest of us, so we don't have to live in a constantly armed state with mob rule.
what you are suggesting is the very epitome of what canna was talking about, that kind of talk paves the way for armed takeover by radical elements, like the FUCKING MAGATS ON 1/6...
