Depressingly,or another box car on the shit train if you like,most indications are that if Putin is replaced it will most likely be a more radical,right wing anti-west hater than himself and not our scenario of a triumphant Navalny being released and moving Russia out of the dark,unfortunately. With the Chinese now warming up to the idea of bailing Russia out (not for love of Russia but to thumb their nose at the West) I can see this whole thing getting even worse than what presently exists. This will seriously test the West in terms of weapons production and lead to proliferation the scale and lethality of weaponry required, not to mention that the US will surely up the ante by arming the Taiwanese w/more capability to put the hurt on China for getting involved. Figuring out how this all ends without getting really dark is starting to require serious optimism w/the way it is trending.

i think that for every weapon they give russia, for every round of ammo, we give Taiwan exactly the same thing...and make sure the chinese know it.
they wanna get involved? then there are consequences.

If anybody gets a chance to go to the Fashing or Karneval in their lives, do it! My memory of it as a kid was a Witch attempting to drag me from my parents to put me among all the other kids being pulled down the street in a wooden cage. I was 4, so I grabbed a pole beside me and screamed bloody murder until they left me alone. lol. When I asked my Mom about the incident decades later, she said that the German ladies doing the act were actually trying to calm me down and they felt terrible about scary the living shit out of me.

Good times.

If the Chinese want to be a pain in the ass about Taiwan, then give them a dozen nukes and let the Chinese worry about trying to invade them then. It would be up to the Taiwanese to use them, if required, but it would end this invasion bullshit and save a lot of bucks. Lease them to the Taiwanese for a decade or two and send an unmistakable message to China.
