They are only taking off about 8-10' he says of dead branches, stuff dangling over my garage and cleaning up the lower canopy near power lines. Nothing off the top. That tree is approx. 65-70' tall so its a real presence back there. I love trees and living in the city, I value them tremendously. Selfishly though, it was a real pain the last few years jockeying 10G pots around the yard chasing pockets of sunlight.

I know I was doing the same thing chaising sun other year whole property is all Giant maple and pines. Little smaller than 10 gallon,not easy by yourself. Things we do for these plants

We have an arborist that manages the forest behind us ... and a couple of days ago, they hit my three piles of rounds with their log splitters.

We do ... we have an older Napolean 1100C - the "small block" woodstove.

Just a few light adjustments to that Firebox and it could be one hell of a forge

We also heat with wood. We have 3 Blaze King catalytic stoves. 85% efficient/super low carbon emissions. House/Garage/Greenhouse. The house stove burns from Oct-May. The other stoves are used intermittently/as needed. We have 7+ acres of trees so there's always deadfall/etc. and clean up to do.

I've been looking at the outdoor wood furnaces. I have a indoor one but it's getting up there in age.....nothing wrong yet. But I'm preparing for if the time comes. If I went outdoor I could heat the shop and greenhouse all from one furnace. Load it twice a day and much larger logs. Mine fits a 22"-24". Mostly run 18" for more air space though.

I decarbed a boat load of trim and then pulverized it into powder in my ninja. Very potent... a bit bitter. I made a few rolls with a 70/30 mix in favor of AP flour and it's kinda nice...
