IMG_20240913_232919.jpgIMG_20240913_232936.jpgBack in 2003 I took my Dave Watson sk#1 freebies from Gypsy Nirvana and made seeds in a guerrilla grow.
Those seeds were thought lost for 8 years after 3 life destroying busts caused by my own brother ratting on me. ( No one knows what his fucking problem is...)
Then they were discovered mislabeled when I grew some out. The first test yielded a nice clone specimen of this IBL and I did the right thing and gave it away to preserve it.
The pot industry in VA.because of no legal sales is a ruthless place. I gave away 3 clones and I am here to state and declare that I am the one who grew this back in the day locally and preserved it. We have all seen rip offs in the seed industry. I gave my clone to one company with the guidance to do anything they want with it i.e. profit from it. That's photon pharms. They will be releasing a feminized line I believe. I am also making some feminized seeds from the pictured 3 clones for preservation and interested buyers. (The reversal plants are isolated).
I am a legacy grower. The pot industry doesn't care about us. They don't care about pot culture. Most of the newcomers I have encountered have an attitude that doesn't match their grow experience or knowledge. I gave up my genetics to make sure they survive, now I am looking to preserve my legacy as an old and serious organic grower.
I will make regular seeds asap but due to my space limitations I cannot open pollinate. I have to pheno hunt on a small scale basis over time. Which honestly is the best way to proceed from here.
This post is to say this particular skunk line came from Dave Watson verified and it's because of my hard work it is here now. So you can put it in a greenhouse and bring back the power in these genetics.

I am not profiting from Photon Pharms and am only making a small number of fems for a few people (if anyone is interested) in what I call the Royal skunk. Once the most popular strain in the world...now down to a handful of people with verified lines. Cash in...? Man...you really don't know what I have lost fighting for pot freedom in VA. I spent my life doing research breeding in the woods and wasn't pumping out product for cash. That's why I have the seeds. Love.

I made my seeds in Caroline co.Va. If you go directly west from there you end up in Mendocino county, Ca. I am of the opinion that VA. has a climate that is the best for potent skunk.
Anyone who has negativity please go reply on someone else's thread. Skunk is a positive up high.
If you have something to teach me, I am here to learn ( ...Jade Nectar ), and I will teach to those willing to learn from me.
I did not grow up in Humboldt. But my pot has been sold there( Quimby).
We all gotta make cash. I do what I do with a professional attitude and times are so tough after my busts that sometimes I am hungry. I am a walking encyclopedia of pot culture and you won't find me at the dispensary.

This is a later line than what AG has. By this point Sam had been selecting to eliminate hermaphrodism.
I believe skunky skunk is relative to Afghani/ skunk crosses in people's memory. Though Sam has plenty to say about it. This line still had plants that were stockier somewhat and more like Afghan though an IBL. This line is sativa all the way.
AG has a sweet skunk line now as well that I wrote and asked TM to do. I had not discovered the lost seeds yet.

Sounds more like Northern indoor oriented stuff. I am waiting for someone like Commonwealth Canna to do a greenhouse full of this line here in VA.

Hey man, wanted to say hello from an old timer in SW Va. I cut my teeth growing outdoors in the early 1990’s as a college puke. I honestly never thought Va would legalize, but I was wrong.
I don’t have the background in genetics but do put some real time and effort into growing whatever I can find. I would love to grow out one of yours.
Back when I grew my first outdoor plant, my buddy and I ordered seeds from Amsterdam. We had no idea what we were doing but sent a money order anyway. After 6-7 weeks, we figured we had lost our money and a padded envelope arrived. I remember that strain, Northern lights x skunk 1. We had phenomenal luck and even learned how to clone. Ended up growing that strain for 8/9 yrs and at the time was the best kind bud around.
We were luckier than we were skilled. His family owned 500 acres of rich Bedford Co dirt and we did little else.
Anyway, best of luck and if u want someone to grow your seeds and do it right, holler at me. B

The first cross I made with the Skunk in 2003 was to Nirvana Northern Lights. It was my most commercial strain....the Stupifyer is what I called it. Insane bag appeal. Sweeter and stinkier than skunk
True hybrid vigor. I bought some packs from Nirvana recently but there may not be a way there to go backwards. We all want the strains of our youth it seems. The ones that got away! So many great ones....

I heard some of the Federation/ Next Gen story last night. I can relate. I lost half of my genetics in busts. Guerilla grower stuff. Now instead of moving forward I am looking to recreate stuff that was amazing in the past.
