Need Help with First Wick Irrigation Setup

Yea im quite happy too, only thing I have to figure out still is how to setup my water tank.
I can either use passive methods or active ones who require electricity, like water pumps.
If it were me, I'd go passive. I used to grow dwc. Power outages were a constant worry.

You may have other considerations, though.

I would also prefer passive.

I can link you a video (its in german but you get the idea) of what I tried to do, but I bought the wrong tank.
Go to minute 3:25 and you see the system I want to implement:

The tank that I bought sadly didnt have the ability to intake air through the tap, so I had to return it.
With a 10 or 20L tank I could get like an entire week of freedom.

Hi mate, have you considered the self watering wick systems from spider farmer? I use one and it's absolutely brilliant. Used it my last run and my entire grow was pretty much hands free. I just had to fill up the reservoir. I can't seem to find the 2 plant one no more which was around £60/70€.

I did look at several pre-build system from SF/Mars Hydro, Ac Infinity, and so on.
Problem is, I already have most of what I need, all I need now is the tank and a pipe that leads into
the basins, wich shouldnt cost more then 20€ at the point.

Right now I think it would be better to just finish my DIY project and then maybe one day buy something better,
what do you say?

I Would finish the DIY project but I would suggest making sure you keep the basins completely light leak free other wise you could end up with nasty bacteria entering the root zone.

But, in my newbie opinion, if anything goes wrong I can highly recommend the spider farmer wicking system. My results have been excellent. I also managed to go to my villa in Spain for 6 days completely hands free. I only grow 2 plants and the 50L tank and basins filled to the absolute maximum only just covered the watering.. 100L would have been better I could have potentially left for 8-10 days.
