Well, as usual, most of you don't get it. Its not about you. Its not about me. Its not about the war. Its not about lost relatives. Hell, its not even about George Bush. Its about respect for the office of the presidency in general. When Bush, or any other president visits a foreign country, he/she is representing the people of the United States. Some of you were in the military, right? I'm sure you probably had some officers that you didn't like or respect, but every time they passed by, you saluted, correct? What were you saluting, the man, or the uniform? Same thing. The Secret Service members present, should have pounded the crap out of that "brave" shoe thrower.
And by the way, search all of my previous posts concerning our president and you'll find that I am no Bush supporter. Never have been, nor will I ever be. I am not a supporter of socialistic fascism ... and that is exactly what Bush represents as a politician.

Sorry VI, I have to agree with GR here. Bush destroyed all respect for the office as long as he inhabits it. Once Obama is sworn in, I can bring back my respect, that is if he acts in a manner deserving of it, which I'm pretty sure he will.

Vi you are right no matter what any joker is saying. You may not agree with the man but he is our leader and that dose makes us look dumb.... I served in Iraq and know the war was dumb, but that don’t give anyone a reason to disrespect the U.S. like that. I have always spoken out against bush, but that is my right as an American!
