Best to get the bullshit outta the way so now you can focus on gettin down and dirty with ur plants!
Sorry to hear about the situation, but I'm still along for the ride....

And to clear up the 18/6 lighting a lil more for you..... The plants use the lights to grow up, when it's dark, that's when the plants grow down (ie... root growth)

24/7 would be good for faster plant growth, but at the same time, it limits root production, so the plant wont be as stable as it could be....

Hell, if you wanted you could go with 20/4, still givin them mad light, but also givin them the time to do their thing with the roots.....

Yes, he is right about the lighting, but alot of us do not have enough time to grow slowly and we need as much as we can get and as fast as we can get. Don't worry, because during flowering they can catch up on 12/12. Also figure you plant mass is going to be as big as you root mass.

Hey man.

Sucks you had to get rid of the other one. Looks like your in good hands. I have seen some of penny's post and he knows his way around the grow room.

You were doing good though, but like penny said you did over water abit. Its a very common mistake with new growers. Soon enough you will know when you need to water just by looking at your soil.

Keep the grow up!

Thanks for the suport. I have been lisioning to all of the things that everyone has said for better or worse. That is true about watering. I have learned from what mistakes that I have maid.

That is true. I just got my Top 44 seeds today. I am so happy that it only took 5 days to get to me. I will be germinating about 4-5 of them today or tomrrow

Yea, just read up on it.... either way u'll be good.....

But, if you keep them on 24/7 to get your height quicker so as not to have to veg that long and rely on the 12/12 for root development- it could possibly lengthen your flowering time.
If you already have a decent root system, then the plant wont focus on it as much when flowering. Also, you could run into the problem of becoming root bound during flowering- not a good thing to have to transplant and stress them when they are flowering.
I'm not saying it WILL happen definitely- but the possibility is still there... Again it's all in your preference. Grow them the way you know makes them happy so in the end they'll make you happy! And just take ur mistakes as lessons and apply them to the next round......:weed:

That is what I have been doing. I am going to be transplanting them. I can see roots going to the bottom of the cups that they are in.

Thanks. I will be adding more lights when I can build some sort of contraption to hold the lights up into place.

I am going to send you my setup. You can set it up exactly the way I did. I will be sending them tommarrow.

Notice I zip tied the center lights together.

I used 6 feet extension cords per 4 bulbs. I then strung the cord over the hanger rack in the closet. I taped each cord to itself so they would not slip and the hooked both those cors to anther 6 foot cord and then into the wall. I rean the lights 24/0 for 3 weeks.

I am sending you that whole setup you see in the pics.

Just make sure when it's in your closet to run an oscilating fan, because those little bulbs get hot and can burn them. Once you have tha fan and lights put the lights 1 inch away from the tops, also you will need to move the lights everyday, since the plants grow fast.
