im sorry...thats just plain false...
Mccain and Obama may have been the major party candidates but there were over 10 big party candidates and a couple had much better ideas in regard to the american drug war and more specifically marijuana (including Ralph Nader & Robert "Bob" Barr)
apart from the big party candidates...there were over 250 presidential candidate write ins.
meh, i really could care less, i just think its funny when the hypocrites come out

I think he needs time. we gotta atleast give him a chance, im excited about this whole appointing the leader of the dea. he gets to do that right?
cuz if he does stop the raids i garantee you that u wont hear him say a word about it. not somthing he would advertise, he would just appoint somone who would apply his views, and end of story
the raids will stop, slowly if the public is acepting it will become set in stone,
marijuana tourisum will go into overdrive, by the time barak is leaving after 8 years
the country would be compleatly different regarding marijuana
this will lead to less prosecution and more slapping on the wrist in the states where it still is illigal.
It will never be legal in every state im pretty sure, but ill be happy with a good 20-30

I don't care what party or group you may be in, but giving trust to ONE person to fix things in government? Have we become that brainwashed?
Any president may or may not have good ideas on how to fix things, but it doesn't matter! He can not to NOTHING on his own. He has the house and senate along with all the checks and balances that come into play. He can't just sign laws into effect because he feels like it.
A president is more close to a puppet that you think. You think one person runs the country? Multiple agencies and politicians run the country. If the standing president has their way of thinking, all is good. If not, he can't get shit done...and I would not be surprised that if he/she was completely against what "they" want, that the president would be removed in one way or another...
Like the song says, "Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do youll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders."

Honestly, don't bash other people's countries. There's too many things people don't understand about various cultures, beliefs, upbringings, etc for anyone to have any input on another country's "status/importance" in the world. And no, taking a semester abroad or going on vacation does not mean you understand a country well enough to diss it.

Better yet, there are a few federal marijuana patients (people Ok'd by the feds to use MJ as a med) and do you think with all the weed they confiscate that they use any of it to supply those people?
