yea i did, took me about a hour but i calmed down just was the iceing on the cake. but only two weeks i hope ........ just need to get this grow done clean and fix up the room for the next one.

Hang in there bro, shit does seem to pile up on a man from time to time. Especialy with the added stress of the this current economy. With the grow, just mark it up with tiral and error. Take what happened and learn from it. Did the plants get broken at all? They can heal them selves up pretty well at times.
You find any work out your way yet?.........if you did, want to send it my way?

Yea its really my fault since i just made a quick cool tube and just did it half ass. But i will not have this problems ever agian thats for sure. I am not sure if anything got broken from what i see no. Since then all my leaves around my colas are getting all burned up and turning colors i will posting pics and talking more about that in a min.
Well right now since i got laid off i been full time dad and my wife is working full time. grrr ... should be the other way around but this is what is working for us right now. I am trying to find at least partime work somthing i might even go down to subway and try to become a manager hahahha or work graveyard at jackinbox lmao just somthing i need to work every one calls me a mexican whiteboy, i will do all the hard labor i think its fun to work hard. My grampa has his own poolcleaning busniess just not sure if i want to ask him or get somthing on my own. I have been finding construction jobs on craigslist but when it comes down to me telling them i cant start some days untill 9 or 10 they dont really go for that. Good luck man try finding sidework i have done that a few times but the phones not ringing as much.

Grrr flower room I had my glass from my half ass DIY cool tube i made fall and mess up my colas also my pc fan that was helping cool the light fell so it made a big hole in my colas pic below. The leaves around my colas are all turning color and they look burned.... i believe 60% of the hairs are amber still having a hard time trying to get the trichomes focused not sure why i am having such a hard time. I figure i might just start flushing monday then harvest. I have heard and read allot of different ways to flush two weeks, one week, few days .... whats everyone doing that fallows this thread ??

what I am going to do is a 2 week flush with just RO water and my Sweetener (floranectar). Like you, I'm not sure about trichomes and stuff, I'm going to try to use them to judge, but to do my planning of when to flush, I'm just guessing off when I started 12/12 and what the websites say about my plants flowering time. I figure it will be at least until I am supposed to be done flowering that I will really be done, in other words, I think my flush might end up being longer than 2 weeks, but probably not shorter.
But who knows this is my first harvest.

And about the plants... I'm not saying things don't suck, but I imagined it so much worse. I was thinking there were just massive holes where plants used to be. You'll still be smoking some sweet herb soon, glad it wasn't worse for you.

Thanks for all the help jigfresh. Yea it could have been allot worse i should be just happy, like you said it didnt mess up all my colas. I have been reading every thread i can find when i comes to flushing,harvest,dryingand curing .....went this far dont want to mess it up because i didnt read good enough. Last thing i need is for mold to grow i believe thats the worst possible thing that could happen. I cant wait this is going to be so fun harvesting my first grow. I believe the longer you flush (notsurejustaguess) the more thc you get out of the roots,mainstalk,stems,...that goes into the flowers.
Hmmmmm, never thought of using craigslist. I'l have to check out.

Yea construction, it was a place that did all the maintenance for HOA's I was the last hired first fired..... i worked to hard they wanted us to take are sweet time make the job last long so i was like ok what do you want me to get done in 8 hours so they told me i got it done in 5 and went home blablabla then got laid off hahaha no worries just a bitch trying to get my checks from EDD but once they cut me a check they already owe me for two months so it will be a nice check woo hoo if i ever get it.
I have been working construction labor for years and other trades trying to learn all the trades i can but the companys i have worked for were all small so they didnt last sad to say.

Alright some pics with no HPS.
I got my son down before lights went out in the other room so i had a hour of work time in the flower room got a beer, took a rip, grabbed the baby monitor and chilled in my flower room for a hour checking out and focusing in on the tirchomes, i did it finally had enough time in there no it didn't take me a hour hahaha just like 20 mins to get it down. Then i was trying to look at the tirchomes on the leaves no good so i finally thought duh stems they are sticking straight off of them. They were cloudy and some were amber well just a little amber..... i have been giving the girl two gallons of nute water then letting her drink it all up i believe its almost gone my water level tube on the side of the water farm has nothing in it so it has maybe a inch of water if that. I need to decide by tomorrow night 7pm if i want to go another week of nutes or just start flushing....anyone want to throw there two cents in.

The construction industry is pretty bad right now. It's sad that I know so many people out of work. If I didn't dedicate my life to the industry, I would go into nursing or sell insurrance.
Keep doing what your doing. When the shit does come back, skilled people will be needed. Builders are changing how they are hiring. I worked for a builder who started a rule that 80% of new superintendants had to be right out of college. You would not belive the stupid phone calls I used to get from these green backs. Experiance will be key when things pick back up.
I'm jelous, those look perfect! I don't have 2 cents because I know nothing about hydro.

Yea experiance is the key...........to get a job is hard right now so i am trying to get back in school, your right on that to everyone wants some college work done. Work partime construction partime student full time dad hahaha it will pay off .

I went back to school after I got laid off a year ago. The perfect part-time job to have while going to school is bartender. After the semester was over I ended up going back to my current line of work which I hate. I should have just kept going to school and bartending.

I was thinking of going to school to take blood its only a month school and you get paid almost 20 a hour ... i can do that and go to school
I think i am going to start flushing tonight. I am going to double check the trichomes and have my girl look at them to make sure we are both seeing cloudy and amber trichs.. If there still clear witch i don't think they are i will just do another week of nutes then flush next monday.
I have been reading that some people put there plants into 48 hours or 72 hours of dark before they harvest. Has anyone heard of this or tried this before ?? I am guessing i would flush for 5-7 days with lights on then turn lights off and flush for 3 days before harvest. The plant is supposed to act like its dieing and start bulking up the buds and trichomes start coming out like crazy from what i read. Still reading more on that and everything about flushing,harvesting,drying and curing. So any helpfull tips you have throw them my way.

Right now is the best time to go back to school. There are all sorts of grants available for returning adults. And if you have kids, you get more cash for living expenses. You should think about. Your a smart guy and a hard worker. Might work out in your favor.
Yeah, college just looks good on a resume. Everything i learned, I learned in the field. Everyting I learned in college is just fluff shit that I didnt care about anyway or i just plain forgot it over the years. There have been sometimes I've had to get out an text book though. I work as an architect and no, I dont have my own company. My company did high end residencial, which is in the crapper now. I See what my companys owners are going through, I doubt I'll ever want to own my own company.
My wife and I were about to start our own remodeling company, but then the economy went to shit. I'm just glad I have a job.
I've only heard of people giving the plants 24 hours of darkness prior to starting the flowering period. Let us know what you find about the 48 hours prior to harvest.
