I think most parents are so busy trying to make enough money to survive that they kinda forget about the kids. The gov't has so much control over children that we just kinda let it take care of them. Many parents just don't care or are too fucking lazy.Laws say your kid has to be schooled, you don't have a choice if you cannot home school them. 1 of my kids had trouble reading so my GF and I really worked with her, we read lots of books to her and made her read to us. We progressively got harder and harder and longer books for her to read. I especially tried to convince her how much reading opens up the world to you. I made her read all the road signs on our trips and helped her figure out how a map works. Even though the School system had her in a special program, I knew it would not help as much as I could. In 3 months of us working with her did more good than 6 months of school and special programs. She isn't in the program anymore and actually reads at 4 grade levels above hers now. She probably would have barely passed if the "System" had been the only thing. Anyway its just anecdotal evidence, my GF works in the school system and there are all sorts of horror stories, its crazy how many kids are on brain altering drugs ( Ritalin). Its any wonder half of them can learn anything, hell we used crush ritalin into a powder and snort it, kinda like a poor mans cocaine. When I went to school the teachers could hit you, I think it helped kids pay attention better than ritalin does.

The democrats alone did not destroy education. That's absurd. Ask an educator what the most devastating blow to education in the US has been in the last 50 years and you'll get a similar answer over and over - no child left behind. Bush's policy.
Let's pander to the weakest, focusing all of our attention on getting the lowest kids to pass the standardized tests. Bush made this law early in his first term without any funding. He mandated that schools focus their attention on the weakest. Well, the weakest links simply harm everyone else - buffalo theory. The whole system suffered greatly because of Bush's stupid idea. Not to be an elitist, but let's spend our money on the average and above.

bush would not say some things and hold his tong for fear that his partizan non-nationalistic american enemies would seize on these things to distort the facts and ruin his critical agenda to better our great country. so he did not maybe explain things as much as he should
obama will not say some things also, well really he will just bold face lie to you and his supporters to get things done that are the exact opposite of what he is saying, that are not good for america, they are only good for his selfish twisted view of america
at first I really thought he may have been in that church just to get into chicago politics, but now it is clear to me that he feels the same way as his pastor and all the members of that church about america. and when his wife his best friend said the statment during the election
"this is the first time I have ever felt proud of my country"
she was dead serious and speaking from the heart. not as she later backtracked and said she didnt really mean it like that
seems we have elected someone who dislikes america as the leader of america.....
they are brain washed racists, maybe they would of had a point back in the day when they grew up, but things are different now.

You said Progressives ruined education - a blanket statement. Bush is not a Progressive and he has a heavy hand in the ruining of our educational system. Therefore, I used Bush as evidence to quash your claim.
