overwatered now too dry...

yeah so i went to go check on my plant to see if it had recovered this morning and it looked like it was coming back to life so then i went to work... came back and now it looks dried out... but not too dried out... just droopy so i put some water in it and hopefully thats what it needs and i can get back on track after this whole ordeal

Try and post some pics if you can. Underwatering and overwatering have similar characteristics. The general rule of thumb is you want to let the first couple of inches dry out before watering again. You can pick up a PH/moisture meater for pretty cheap ($10) that will help you tell how wet/dry the soil is.

If your plant is underwatered and wilting, it should return to normal pretty quick after watering (under an hour).

Overwatering can be more difficult to come back from, because of issues like mold and root rot. If the soil does not go thru a wet and dry cycle, and stays wet all the time, you are basically suffocating the roots and they cannot breathe.

yeah im pretty sure it is dried out because this morning when i checked on it, it was perky but then later this afternoon i took this picture... i honestly think its dried out... so i put some water in it then check again later and there wasnt much difference... so im kinda worried...

It may be a combination of the plant "droopping" from overwatering in the morning, then the hot afternoon sun blasted it while it's still trying to recover from the shock of being overwatered?

Thats my take on it. I say this because, that soil doesn't look like a type of soil that would become overwatered and then completely dried out in the course of a day? I mean its grown that much already? do you water the thing every 6 hours?

was the soil all dried up when you checked it? I'm havin a hard time making sense of watering it hours after it was suffering from being overwatered?

yeah sorry i forgot to mention it in this post... i have another post all about the overwatering... so the other night it was planted in the bucket with soil and earth... the earth was red clay :-\ it was before i bought this soil... so then when i checked on it the morning after a bad rain it had about 2 inches of water about the soil and earth... so i freaked and pored out the water... went to work and came back... when i came back it was still really wet... so i took out the plant and put in the new potting soil i grabbed from work... i didnt water it because i felt it had its fill of water the night before... so this morning i checkup up on it and it we perky... it seemed like it was comming back to life... i was happy... so i left it alone without watering it... it was nice a breezy this morning so i didnt think it was going to be too hot... so i went to work and man was i wrong... it was scorching... so when i got home i checked it out and it looked like this... so i watered it then left it alone for about 4 hours... came back and i took the picture... it was still droppy so i was asuming since it was perky this morning and after the scorching heat and now its droopy again so maybe because i didnt water it just a little bit this is the end result...

Its probably a mix of all three, transplant shock, overwatering, and the hot sun.

I would move it to a partially shaded spot for atleast a few days if ya can, and stop f@#$in with it so much.

It's probably going to be a week or two until you see any actual growth, so be patient. After that you may want to give it about 1/4 to 1/2 strength dose of veg nutrients to help with the " yellowing" of those fan leaves?

my dad who grew when he was a kid is helping me out and says its defiantly dried out so he told me to put the bucket into another bucket and take it to the shower and put enough water into it so there for it soaks through the soil and then the water goes to the 2nd bucket and stays there... just like the pots you get at stores but with 5 gal buckets... he also said that its just a weed and it will live
