Temps are steady 81 to 83 with lights on. I been watching again to see if its gonna burn. But nothing has happened yet. She's looking good. Opened up the box this morning to find more sets of leaves popping out underneath. She has even greened out some more. Not so much yellowish green. She's so sexy!

Just a quick tip. I noticed your inline fan is before the filter. I'm pretty sure it's good to put it after the filter.

How's your water temps. In hydro it should be kept around 68- 70 to avoid root rot.

I use ro water w/ my hydro to start w/ 000 ppm's. Toatal control is everything.

Good Luck

Post number 39 will sum up his fan situation.

Da7 19,

Nothing much to report. She is growing steady and faster now it seems. More leaf sets coming in. pH is stable. I do think i am gonna add a bit more nutes on monday.

Well here it is.

Now that is one healthy plant. Adding more nutes should be good, it will probably get rid of the light green tinge you're seeing towards the center of the new growth.

Keep it up man, you're doing great!

Day 21,

On day 20 i tried adding my DIY c02 type bottle thing with sugar and yeast in a plasic bottle. But that failed BAD. As soon as i added a tube going under the plan to feed it this c02 it started to droop and move away from the bottle. This blew my mind because it happened in a matter of a hour. So maybe it wasnt the right mixture. Whio knows? I don't. She has recovered and seems to be fine. :>

Changed out my res today. I have added 2.50 mL of each Micro,Grow,Bloom. Hopefully that was a substantial increase it needed. It does look like she is suffering a little of lack of nutrients.

Plant seems to be growing very healthy and fast now. Hopefully it will sex out to be a female. I imagine it will show soon since it being a autoflower.

Updated eye candy.

i believe because you need to put the tube ABOVE the plant, so it can get to all the fan-leaves. Roots use Oxygen, leaves use CO2

that said, with a single plant, i wouldn't get too risky/frisky with it, ya know? If you had a couple, you could screw around with one...

I have worked on a big plant with aerogarden (not advised) and haven't had too many problems. I have been through that problem you had with leaf burn. For me it was the lights included in the set. If they get too close the plant stresses out.

As far as the sex of your plant goes, it seems to be mostly genetic. I did read in a separate forum on here that humidity and temperature control can help you raise your odds of getting a female.

The female that I have doesn't smell, (prob specific to the strain), but the male I did have was stinky. Save your pollen from the male if you end up with one and use it with a pollen press. Hash is definatly not something to miss out on!!

Overall in my 7 month grow test - I have found that regulation of the nutrients is very important. If you dont have enough the leaves get weak and wilt. If you get too much you get root burn and other leaf burn problems.

I have been using the included lamp and the aerogarden herb nutrients (high in nitrogen for beginning part), and aerogarden flowering tablets (for flowering - high in P(something) cant remember the word im looking for.)

good luck - your plant is looking premo

oh and also i used an airstone in the water tank. This helps add oxygen to the roots. Oxygen is a big key in increasing your growth rate and giving yourself a nice "web" of roots in the tank.

Day 23 update.

Took some pic's. It looks like it's a girl. I see 2 little antenna things coming out.

Man she is drinkin like a sailor. The water basin dropped over a 24 hour period alot. I can see now how the AG res is very small. Once those roots get a growing,

Updated pics plus a Bonus. A crazy owl beneath a palm tree right near me.

Those pics look nice - once i get my stuff together ill send u some pics of mine. The snake tounge shaped pistil hairs are definatly what you are looking for. (PS My Spelling Sux). The only thing i am not sure of (from lack of experience) is how long it takes to go from mature flowers to that nice "sponge" like bud. I have been running the shorter light cycle for like 4-5 weeks or more. Like I said I will get u some pics soon. I can see the trichromes are developing well and can be seen with the naked eye at the base of the pistils. Under a microscope (available at Radioshack) you can really see their development. [PS The Cannabible is a great resource for trichrome pictures]

Thanks for weighing in waerloche. Hope you have enjoyed my journal so far. Ya, i was figuring it was a female after seeing those 2 pistil type things. It didnt look like a new set of leaves.

yea, i have access to magnifing lenses. Cant wait to see those start to produce. I am imagining another week to 10 days before i see it start to flower. I'll have to look that cannabible up.

Day 24,

Not much happening, other then she is drinkin a ton. I had to mix up some more nute/water combination. But i didnt increase the nutes. I'll wait till res change for that.

Howt howt! Crazy ass owl!

FYI.... clean that AG out real good between projects. Especially the little "cave" area where the pump is held. I thought I cleaned it good enough, come to find a constant presense of sludge floating in my AG, even a day after a res change. Turns out there was a bunch of dead roots and shit stuck in there and rotting. I was getting some sad looking seedlings for a little while. After I cleaned out the "cave" the sludge disappeared and my girls perked up a day later.

Week 4,

I will be posting a update tomorrow. I changed out my res and added 4mL each of Micro,Grow,Bloom. Thats up from 3mL. Other than that, shes a bute! havnt seen any flowering going on yet. I was hoping after it showed sex on the 23rd day, it would be getting close. Hopefully a few more days i can see some white hairs starting to form.

Pics tomorrow.

As to Bigbrew, ya once i finish this baby up its getting a complete make over, and cleaned out throughly. I wish i could scrub it out now. But there are so many roots its unreal. They are all tangled in with my airstone tubing. But once this grow ends , i will be making a new cabinet. Its to small right now. Neeed a proper scrubber.

Night.
