Any day now and you will be able to sex them. Its actually extremely easy once you have done it and seen how they look. I have never needed a magnifying glass.

Guess we forgot to mention that these boxes are only meant to grow out clones. You only want Females and females only, thats why you grow from clones made from a known female plant.

I am sorry I have been extremely busy lately and have not had time to post.

I am learning a lot for example next crop I will be flowering at about 9 inches as the majority of the plants have hit the roof of the unit and the tops are browning off :(.

I went out of town for two days so the ladys are not very happy with me right now. As soon as I got in the door I adjusted the ppm and topped up the water.

I am not sure what to do at this point I just started week 3 of flowering. I have a couple of smaller plants that are being choked off by light so I am thinking about taking off more of the larger leaves.

Any suggestions?

Just when I thought things were going well I found a male plant, please see the attached pic.

Now I had no problem removing it as it was in the far back and the roots were not tied in to the other plants

I did not spot it because the balls are all the way at the top where the browning was going on from it touching the glass. I am hoping I got it before it burst any pollen sacs........should I be concerned?

I am so pissed off at myself for not catching it.

I used some free seeds as I posted before only because I did not think I would ever get this far into a grow it was more experimental.

The clones I have are all from female plants so next round I will not have to worry.....

ack that male is not good, you might get some seed. Nothing you can do now, and we have all smoked seeded bud a time or 300 in our lives. next time you will only grow clones. just let the tops sit against the glass, cutting anything now would just harm more than do good. Takes afew grows under the belt to work all the problems out, your doing good. Do not take off too many leaves, you might just let the small plants alone for now and next time grow less plants. You can get the same amount of yield off 8 plants as you do off 18 if you do it right.

Thanks Nodrama much appreciated, it is just it drops the ummmm value of the crop but something is better then nothing.

I really like the feminised skunk so compact compared to the free seeds. They all seem to grow at the same rate and the buds are forming close to the main stauk with very little branching out, I am going to take a run at all skunk next round as thats what all my clones are.

Still I am bummed out over the male plant though, but hey live learn and pick out the seeds got it.

Yesterday and the day before I had some serious problems.

I went away for two days and my ppm spiked at 1750 my ph lowered to 4.4 as my ph nanny went off on high head.

I lost a plant a female.....sigh.

I am happy to report the rest of the plants handled the stress well. All dead leaves have been removed!

Live and learn here are the shots......

on another note here are my clones they are a bit yellow on top is this normal?

any input is greatly appreciated, thanks folks.........

:)

Okay things are starting to stabilize so I am breathing a sigh of relief. I have 3 stunted plants which I am not sure that will make it or not. I am counting on the other 13 to make up the difference.

Here are the pics.........

I will be done my third week of flowering tomorrow. Because of my little screw up my nutes are only at 1250, they will be adjusted to 1400 tomorrow now that the plants have settled down.

Since I have never gotten to this point I am curious as to if the plants are on schedule for an 8 week flowering period?

I ran out of co2 yesterday I am off tomorrow to fill the tank.

I am in need of some help please.....if you read back a bit you will see I found a male plant in my grow and it was removed. Now I am finding these balls on my other plants is this because they were pollenated?

They are flowering really well and I am happy for that.

I am hoping it is just seeds forming......

sighhhhhhh

if the other plant was a hermie then you got some feminized seeds coming like 75% female 15% hermie 10% male lol

Nahhhh was a straight out male.....way in the back and it really pissed me off. So other then having some seeds in this round all is good I should not worry about the seeds forming? I really don't wanna dump this crop the flowers are looking really good.

yea you got seeds forming bro if it was a male plant , but do you know the strains because you could of just started making a need breed if its 2 different kinds of strains bro

That is a very good question.....you see I know 13 are skunk the other 3 I have absolutely no clue as they were free seeds thrown in when I ordered online. I honestly did not think I would get this far so it was more of an experiment that has turned out well (other then the seeds). So I am assuming I leave everything be and not pick of the balls huh? I may try a few of the seeds later on but what I did for now is pick up a cloner and made clones which are rooting for my next batch all skunk. All of the skunk were feminised and I know the clones will be female.

Everything is looking good, those "Ball" looking things in the pics are not seeds, their called Calyx, normal female plant parts. But if seeds do develop tyhey will be inside the calyx. You won't really know how much bud got seeded until after you harvest and dry the flowers. Once the buds shrink up a bit from drying they tend to easily start shedding seeds. If you really got pollinated you will have thousands of seeds. You can eat them with a bit of milk and sugar, crush them and strain them for oil or let them sit until next year and go be a good Johnny Potseed and randomly plant them in the ditches and parks around where you live. Overgrow the world!!
