First grow from seeds help

ok im used to clones but I now got some dank seeds.
question
1)so I understand germination but after that can i plop them in the soil im using and i understand they must be about 1/2 inch or so planted do I cover up the top of the seed with soil.keep the light on after germination etc.
Ive clearly soked too much and cant remember 3rd grade horticulture.
Thanks mates.and how much tooo water them etc i will be using ten gallon pots.

I recommend ... soak the seed in damp towel/napkin 12-24hours, then plant in soil 1/4-1/2 inch deep, then moisten soil, and make sure it stays moist a couple times a day until you see the plant come up, then you can do your schedule.

i put them in a water bottle for bout 24 hrs. in a warm climate with no light.....once the seed sinks to the bottom put it in 1/2" into the soil and cover w/ soil slightly and turn your lights on for 24/7 for 1st 2 days then ....your schedule!

After you germinated you can put the seeds in your soil with the root facing down. You don't need any light until it sprouts through the soil. I started in dixie cups (not sure if it's a good idea to start in 10 gal pots, but I'm a newb) then moved to my 3 gal pots. My seeds sprouted 2 leafs without any light, then I put them under my HPS. Paper towel for 2 days, by then you will probably be able to see the tap root. Plant the tap root down toward the bottom of the pot, about 1/2" deep as you said. Don't over water the soil, but make sure that it is moist. Your plant should pop out of the soil in about 2-5 days.

Just plant them in soil, water them so the soil is moist, wait 3 - 10 days and your seeds will be sprouted. IMO everything else is just un-needed steps that cause extra stress to the plant and add the risk of fungal infections. How many other plants in the world get the paper towel method recommended when you start growing them ?

ok what about watering when their mature I have a 6ft sour diesal mother in a ten gallon pot an im unsure as to how many gallons I should water they say till10% runoff occurs but that theory kinda sucks as I wouldnt know how many gallons I would be using thus I wouldnt know how many nutes to use??

I think this is another question people worry about too much. My philosophy is to compare it to your houseplants, are you worried about how many times a week you water them ? Probably not. I usually water once a week and don't have any problems. If you want to be sure buy one of those $5 meters you stick in the soil, the scale goes from 1 - 8, water till moist and the meter is between 6 - 8, and then don't water again until it gets down to 3 - 4. Plants need the soil to dry out to get oxygen to the roots. If you let it dry out too much you will know because the plant leaves will droop and the amazing thing is you can water them and in less than 15 minutes the plant will look normal again, no I don't suggest doing that often, just letting you know that as long as the plant doesn't do that you are doing fine with watering.

Thanks Im just gonna plant them in the soil and water the seeds a couple times a day till theres ready thanks mates just got them this morning2 white rhino 2 great white sharks 2 lemon skunks 2 train wrecks and 2 cheese
gonna be a good summer.
