So I added a fan to the veg closet to be able to keep it closed so the humidity gets higher not letting the temp over 29C. Really all I wanted to add today...nothing much happening, clones are growing especially 2 of them are showing to be great so far, but all are growing new shoots. I think I'm gonna top them all in few days...can't decide...LOL!

So I went to my "local" grow shop and bought a new bottle of BioHeaven, BioBloom and a tiny bottle of Super Vit from Hesi, they were out of SuperThrive and Super Vit is an equivalent product to SuperThrive. It contains 25 vitamins and amino acids...BioHeaven also contains amino acids. Anywho I included a pic of the "line of nutrients" I'm using. All clones have been topped for 4 main colas using UB's topping and tomorrow I will start feeding w Super Vit + BioHeaven. Hope for explosive growth ;)

Some pics of the topped clones. First 4 pics "come in pairs". Pic 1 and 2 is same clone, 2 days ago when topped and today. Same w pic 3 and 4 is another clone 2 days ago and today same goes w pic 5 and 6. They have gotten their first "feeding" but only with Super Vit + BioHeaven. They are doing very well ;)

Under the right conditions it grows "fast". It's ashort plant. Check my thread in sig u will see what a 67cm short plant will yield, vegged 5-6 weeks, flowering at day 62.

5 mins...making new post ;)

Sups RIU?

Things are going great! I've selected 4 of the clones to be vegged for another 4 weeks before 12/12 and threw in 3 clones in some grow bags and into 12/12 today.

2 of the 4 clones selected have been planted in the same soil I been using for some time and I intend to keep on using BioBizz nutes on them.

The other 2 clones have been planted in a new soil, I don't know the contents but I know it has a pH of 6,2 and long time fertilizers, no added nutes for first 4 weeks. Why don't I know the contents? It's a secret recipe from a plantschool not far from here, the owner of the plant school said "Once u tried this soil and my nutes you will never look back!" So I decided to do a side by side. The nutes he gave me has a N-P-K ratio of 14-14-21, 6,5% S, 0.6% Mg and micro nutrients. Alltogether a 50litre soil bag and nutes for at least 3 grows + all other plants I have in my apartment: 19$. It's a "powder" he mixes himself and I must say the soil looks really really well mixed and no need for perlite either. He said to keep same ratio of nutes all the way through, 1 teaspoon/gallon, as they grow u feed them more often hence they get more nutes as he put it. He has 40 years experience and mixes hes own nutes and the soil he sells is of the same brand as soil I used before, so I know it's quality, but he has a standing secret recipe at that soil manufacturer. I'm excited to say the least ;) To conclude: The soil is half the prize than BioBizz soil as an example, the nutes cost me 5,50$, that's what it cost for only 1 bottle of BioBloom, and this jar of nutes will last for looong time to come...if it's good?!

Pics to come soon...

The 4 selected plants for further vegging. Back 2 are in "old" soil and 2 front are in "secret" soil.

4 tops forming

What's going on in 12/12?

2 of the clones that I didn't have room for in veg. The third u can see on the floor in pic 4.

See the Northern Light? It's the "tall" plant that haven't yet formed flowers. Amazing how it has grown ;)

I just mixed 1 teaspoon of the new nutrients I got w 4 liters of water and tested pH - 6,5-6,6...PERFECT! That is promising since I then no longer need to pH any dam water since it's allways same amount of nutes beeing added to the water from veg to harvest...allways hated that part w BioBizz, 5 different bottles + Supervit, takes forever to mix ur nute solution ;) now it's 1 teaspoon nutes and 1 drop of supervit, sooo much more convenient...I hope hes soil and nutes show to be better or at least as good as BioBizz, then I can cut down the cost: $/gram, a lot. I calculated it would cost me somewhere around 60-70$/grow, bulb included, (electricity not included) buying 2 x hes soil + hes nutes + Supervit. Using BioBizz it has cost me easily twice the $ on soil and like...iono...somewhere around 30 x $ on purchase of nutrients and will not last near as long.

I also called him back since I had some more questions about the nutrients. They don't contain any calcium, to that he answered: "Our tap water is rich of calcium (that part I allready knew) and so is my soil so no need for that in the nutrients." Fair enough and I guess hes nutes are special made for "our" conditions. I also asked why there's such a high % of Sulfer (S), 6,5%. To that he answered: "Cuz plants need it, you think I been doing this nutrients with 40 years experience with 6,5% Sulfer if it wasn't needed, I "live" on my plant school son." LOL...fair enough, but not at any time mixing BioBizz nutes, even at full strenght would the Sulfer content be that high...interesting! This old man seem to know what hes talking bout rather than some hydro store w all the "bling bling" stuff and no growing experience...

I will keep u guys and gurls posted on how this turns out! :bigjoint:

You guys n gurls remember the Northern Lights given to me from a friend? The 1 on the left was a male and it's dead, the 1 on the right is the lady I have in 12/12 now

19/2-2010 (7,5inch)

11/3-2010 (24inch)

So far the growth is at similar "speed" for all four plants but today I gave them their first nute feeding since transplant. 2 got fed w BioBizz nutes, Biogrow + BioHeaven and the other 2 got fed w "special blend" as mentioned earlier in thread, here on called N2.

The Northern Light has been topped. It was growing too tall so I topped it and 2 days later it's as tall again, LOL!

Some pics of the 4 vegging plants. The front 2 in the pics are the "BioBizz plants".

Have a nice weekend!

NL 13 days 12/12. It's incredible 28inch tall now, it has grown 15inch in 13 days...I had to top it 4 days ago cuz it was such a beetch keeping the canopy even in flower chamber. After topping on 11th march she was bout 24-24,5inch. Now 4 days later, even after a topping, its 28inch...It's showing some P and K def. even though I have maxed nutes, guess it's due to the massive stretch.

All four clones are looking great but all of them need nutrients. Keep in mind the 2 back plants were transplanted 36hours before the front 2 wich makes a lot of difference this early on. Tomorrow they gonna get 2nd feeding w nutes.

3-4 more weeks in veg then there's gonna be 4 spots opening in 12/12 ;)

Keeping an even canopy in 12/12 has been a beetch due to the massive stretch of the NL. Even though I have topped it, it was 31 inches tall few hours ago (it has grown 1 1/4 inch/day since I started 12/12) so something needed to be done, also because the 400W HPS light wasnt gonna penetrate through such a tall plant.

I built a cage as I did on my last big flowering bubblegums, R.I.P ;), to support the branches (in week 6 or 7 they gonna be too heavy) and to even out the canopy. This time I did it w a twist. Cage + LST :-P

I zip tied all branches to the cage, even the 2 tops, this will create a "ring" of buds all at even height around the cage and it opens up the "middle" of the plant for more light penetration and more bud sites.

Here you can see where the topping was performed and how the tops have been pulled to the sides (15 days 12/12 and the stretch gonna be over in a week) and how this creates the "ring" of budsites.

Here you can see the "cage" wich really just is 4 sticks that I have attached some steel wire around and then zip tied the brances to the steel wire. Now none of the big branches are shading eachother.

Thx to Potroast for moving this thread to the "Grow Journals" forum ;)

This is an open thread where all of you are welcome to post possitive or negative (negative in a possitive way, feel me?). If there's anything you disagree w me on, growing wize, feel free to leave constructive criticism.

Atm there are 4 bubblegums in veg 19/5 cycle, 2 bubblegum week 6, 12/12 , 1 Northern Light week 3 , 12/12 and another 2 bubblegum week 1, 12/12.

The 2 bubblegums in week 6 of flower are the mother of the four in veg + the 2 in week 1, and a plant that my dog "topped" using UB's topping for 4 colas ;) The bubblegums come from Nirvana fem. seeds and I have taken clones offa them and the ones in veg are third generation.

The Northern Light was given to me by a friend as a small not well taken care of plant, it has grown average 1 1/4 inch a day since I started 12/12 and is now "caged" and LST'd.

If you have any questions, fire away!

The NL keeps on stretching, but the cage + lst is a success ;) A lot of new budsites are "opened" up.

The bubblegum at day 39 of 12/12 in front of the NL at day 16 of 12/12

The bubblegum mother, showing some PK def, but it has been constant over the last 10 days, I just gave her more nutes ;)

The vegging bubblegums are looking great, have to change light in a week or two to add some more juice...

edit: I only move the NL and the Bubblegum mother to this space for photo session, can't take pics under the HPS w my cell...
