How is my growth doing?

Light: 400w MH
Space: 4x5
Temp: 65 at night, 82 is highest during the day.
RH: 50%


I am waiting fo signs of male or female to show still, then i wont have this 4'x5' problem. cause i know i should have at least a 600w for that... but so far they are showing about 8-9 nodes at only 7 inches tall... is that a lot or is it just me? they are 6-7 inches tall, and almost a foot wide

the more nodes the better, the bushier the better, so pat yourself on the back and keep doing what you have been doing.

This is another thread i have open with no replies...

So there are a few problems im starting to realize... I need to step it up to 600w for HPS... but im already at 80 degrees with a 400w MH... and ive heard that 600w HPS will raise the temp about 15 degrees or more. I do not have good ventilation, and can only afford about 300 for a new ballast and the hortilux bulb. i can not afford an exhaust hood... anything i can do? is there a nutrient that will make them stronger vs. heat?

And if i did have the money for the exhaust setup, i only have 1 11"/11" window in the room, so i could only suck in air or blow out air... the other opening is the door...

I fully agree

and a pic is worth a 1000 words! You need to bust out that camera and snap a shot or two of your bushes. I see more and more plants getting tighter and tighter node zones super early and at young ages. I would go ahead and chalk some of it up to pheno's and some to the ever advancing line of nutrients available today. Also the millions of dollars now exchanging hands due to it's legalization for medicinal use doesn't hurt. People know this is a booming industry and more money is being spent on R&D all the time.

So grow them bushes and be proud, let us see some

I'll show you mine if you show me yours, lol.



and yes they are being trained to grow like that. When I lay them down there will be no branches aimed at the grow medium, all straight out or up at 45* angles.

as they say; rock, meet hard place. you definitely need the extra light for flowering that size grow area and you definitely need to improve your ventilation.

am i correct that you don't have central a/c and are going to have to deal with summer heat soon? the best un-cooled ventilation in the world can only get grow room temps to plus five degrees from the incoming air temp, so you're going to have problems even with the 400 watt light. if this is the case the best use of your limited funds would probably be to fix your ventilation now and add a new light later when you can afford it. you might be able to add both light and ventilation if you go the ebay/craigslist route, but i would always buy bulbs new.

if you do have central a/c then you need an input fan to bring more of that cooled air into your grow room.

This growth is truly phenomenal.
Ive been seeing plants that are over a foot tall just getting to their 7th node... at a foot i will be at about 12-14 nodes lol.
Im actually gonna update it in about 10 minutes with new pictures. Subscribe if you want. this grow is gonna be interesting ^_^

I have a powerful swamp cooler at the opposite end of the house. no central AC... once i chop down the males i think i will be down to about 8 plants... probably much closer to 3.5'x3.5'

if your area is dry enough for a swamp cooler for your whole house then it's really cheap and simple to get a portable one for under $100 for your grow room. get one with the capacity to exchange room air every two minutes or quicker and you should be able to cool your incoming air temps down by at least twenty degrees.
