My very first tent, was $1500 completely outfitted, (not including the portable air conditioner - $400) and I yielded nearly 2 pounds so it paid for itself seven times over....lol....Not to mention the $300 a week I am saving myself by not having to purchase it.... :-)My hubby and I are heavy tokers... :-)
thats what time it is : )

Cool JR
I've benn thinking of doing that. I've got an extra a/c window unit(small one from walmart 120 dollar I think) I run my 6in light ducting and 4in tent duct out of a window next to the tent and disguised it outside so no one gets curious. I don't have neibors and I live in the country I'm just paranoid. Never can be too safe. I'd like to see that a/c set up to get a good idea on how to do that. Thanks JR. Wish I could post pics but I use internet thru my phone I don't have a computer yet. Waiting on a good harvest first.
How in the F'ng good world do you duct off of a window style A/C?? they just have a big grill in the front that dispenses cool air. Just curious cause I hear people always saying they duct thier window a/c's thx in advance for xplainin it. I may need to use one...SOON. hahaha and they(100-150) are sooooo cheap compared to portables (400-600)
all the window units I've seen just have a big grill... interested to see how it's done myself someone do tell
Not tryin to hijack but you asked.............
Sorry guys I have been busy latley, It was real easy, I took the grill off and just up two 4x8 inch ducts to 6inch round and screwed it into the face plate of the A/C, (make sure no screws hit the heat exchange. Here are a few pics I have but the lights are off till 9pm my time, then I can get more if you need it..Ask if you have any ?

These pics are from a few days ago and it is just roughed in, but you get the idea. I have to A/c in a custom window cover that is insulated because it gets so hot here in the summer.. Hope this helps JR

Yeah I got my A/c unit for 99 bucks and probably 12 dollars for the two pieces of metal duct that I cut up as soon as I got home. The big grill on the front is actually the hot air in to the A/C. I have a 200 CFM fan pushing hot air into the a/c unit (even though I don't think it needs it), and the cold air comes out the smaller top vent, goes right back into my tent. Until my controller, a CAP xgc-1, shows up I just have the A/C thermostat control when it comes on and off. Like i said it would chill my tent to 60 no problem with a 600 watt light. JR

Okay, I don't have my operation up and running currently. But that's by choice and I only grow for myself and my partner. It's a homemade bubbleponics system with a total of 40 CFL's (100 W and 150 W equivalents, in each color spectrum.) I use FoxFarm Nutrients and FoxFarm Solubles. My whole setup cost about $300.00
