Natty that is a mess not a fire hazard. I got a surge protector that looks close to the same. LOL
I saw a octopus surge protector at wal mart. It had like six or eight short cords coming out of it.
Looked like it would clean my mess up proper.

Going to the beach for five days. Then I will be back in full force. Got 5 diff. auto strains to play with the rest of the summer.
Started a grow jounal today but the old lady cut me off to help her pack. Going to try organic soil, DWC, and soilless indoors. Mother earth out. I will post the link sometime next week if you are interested.

Autos are nice but they worry me because you can't control the size they grow right? That's why I wanna learn more about 'em.
Cannabis Indica, Cannabis Sativa, and Cannabis Ruderalis are the three phenotypes of Mary Jane. The first two make great bud and are photoperiod sensitive. Ruderalis makes shitty ass bud, its tiny, grows the way it wants, low yields and low potency. For an autoflower they breed a hybrid of Indica/Sativa together with a ruderalis plant. Now they got a plant that grows crappier weed, lower yields, and is a whole lot smaller. On the upside, it has a concrete lifespan now! The next step is called backcrossing. They take their new ruderalis/(indica/sativa) and breed it with the original indica/sativa hybrid again. Plant the seeds, the next plant is larger, and they backcross again. And again. And again until the plant is as large and potent as possible while still retaining a concrete flowering schedule. Sometimes its 2 backcrosses, sometimes its more. (I visited sensi seeds in amsterdam and was fortunate enough to speak with someone experienced in the production side of the company, thats my source)

Miracle grow. Noobs use it, its for roses or fucking vegetables. When you use better soil, you get better results. There are 3 phases in the life of a soil grower.
Phase #1. Pre-bagged soil. Be it ocean forest or mg. Minor amendments, like adding perlite/worm castings and bragging that you're a growgod. ;)
Phase #2. Soil amendment experimentation. Half OF, half MG, add perlite, add lime, add azomite, add gel crystals, add their cat's shit, whatever.
Phase #3. Homemade soil blend. Tried and true. Tailor made to their own growing practices, habits, and plant environment.

Most noobs bitch about miracle grow because the vast majority of it comes with time release fertilizer. Now let me lay this on any fuckstick dillhole reading this who thinks miracle grow burns your plants. YOU WATER TOO MUCH DUMBASS!!! You think MG has made this awesome gel capsule that deteriorates based on how many weeks the bag's been open? Its $8 a bag genius, the stuff isn't made @ NASA headquarters. It just washes in every time you water. Yeah, you can grow green in MG. You can grow "better" weed in OF. OF is better soil, theres no way around it, but if you suck at growing it doesn't matter. Here's my take on the matter. People who buy MG usually aren't prepared or don't care enough to educate themselves. People who buy OF are usually better prepared, more educated, and work harder. These aren't everytime rules, but its usually the case.

My final cent in the matter is. . . . . you think miracle grow is great? It isn't, you're just not an idiot that kills your plants. I'll grow a plant in kitty litter, dog shit and garbage if it'll convince you. If you can grow solid green in miracle grow, its time to work on your soil mix, you've obviously got the rest down enough.

Woah the forum wigged out.

On your cola question, you've got one with 4 and one with 2. The one with 2 has 6 tips near the top, but they aren't going to be the main colas you're dreaming of. Its 2 main tops, the rest are tertiary. You'll see it when you flower. If I may say, the 4 topped one looks very well done.

That's really interesting man thanks for the info. So I take it that does mean that an auto wouldn't be say for a grow like mine is now, because I can't control the size it gets to before it flowers right?

It's not that i think MG is great but as you said it's not the MG that's killing peoples plants it's their own mistakes. But about the preparedness thing I wanna say you're probably right. I know I certainly wasn't prepared to start this grow with the materials and lack of knowledge I had, I know that now but, hey next grow will be better and I'll be way more prepared and knowledgeable. But don't let my use of cheap easily accessable products make you think that I don't care enough to educate myself or work hard. Just that I'm new and poor and have since learned a lot

I think the biggest thing we have going for us as new growers is the fact that we are 100% attentive to the needs of our plants. It's new and exciting to us still and we want to make sure that we do everything right and learn as much as possible. Where I think the long time growers generally lose that attentiveness. They get comfortable in their skills and their ability to grow harvestable crop that when they DO fuck up they blame everything but themselves. And when we fuck up we take that as a learning experience and try not to do it again. And believe me I'm getting a lot of learning experiences out of this grow, lol
Hahaha. I had a response but it sounded snarky and rude. Look back on this post after a few grows man. Just wait.

Dude, you can grow in MG for sure. I'm not hatin on your startup, I'm just responding to people who are saying miracle grow is good. It isn't, but it'll grow weed. You got nothin to apologize for with your grow man, your plants look very healthy, never mind beginner status.

Thank you my good sir!!
I have to agree, and not to gloat but look at this bitch today:

Does she look like a Sativa dominat to you?

Ha ha I'll bet you're right. I just hope when I do have a few grows under my belt, I, like you, will still feel for and want to help others. It drives me crazy the arrogance that some people on here have. If someone doesn't want to answer someone's question then they don't have to type anything. Instead people talk shit and try to make others feel stupid. That's where my mindset was when I was on that rant, lol

So since I tried to respond to ur PM and ur box was full I'm just gonna put my question here:
ok so here's where I hope I didn't screw up. So I was thinking I'd like to try to keep all 6 of those "heads" growing strong and I know the school of thought that more leaves=more flowers but I wanted to experiment So I removed the 4 fan leaves around the one plant to let light penetrate the inside. SO because you said they're not colas I'm wondering will what I did still help them grow bigger and stronger?
FYI they are fine today. Grew a bit overnight and popped a couple new little leaves near the bottom where there were none before.
And they're still growing a tangled mess, do you think this'll straighten itself out? If so when?

I wouldn't touch fan leaves until they're flowering unless they're damaged to hell. Removing leaves isn't going to kill anything, you just took off some solar panels. While in veg the plant is just. . . vegging. Pulling in energy and growing. The stems don't need light, and the tips are going to keep growing regardless. Why chop off its solar panels? Nothing we care about is growing under those leaves anyway at the moment.

I don't try to guess indica/sativa dominant anymore, not since I grew a dominant indica that had narrow arrow like leaves. Maybe I don't give enough of a shit, sorry can't help you there.

Ahh ok so another mistake but not a huge one. Live and learn. So basically it'll probably just slow down growing a bit for a while?

Is the red one intake? If it is, the leaves are twisting because they're getting dried out. Its making the tangling worse

yeah it was. I actually thought that the fan was screwing it up so I moved it today to blow across the bulbs like this

Think it'll pop back?
