My wife and I go to the Green Lantern in Spring Valley, their prices are super high, but I'm almost positive if you mention me (bajafox) you will get the best available deal. Also, go to weedmaps.com for the nearest dispensary near you, it has customer reviews, location, strains, prices, etc.

There must be, just got back from our favorite collective and I got more free seeds AND a FREE CLONE, it's 3 weeks old, actually I kind of adopted it, he's getting ready to remodel and he pretty much started to neglect them a bit, most of them were reserved already it seemed. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll have a healthy female ready to flower

People gonna be like "dude why the fuck does ur dishwasher smell like that" lmfaoWell a few weeks ago I was bored out of my mind (I got laid off last year) and figured I'd start growing my own, so after a few days online reading just about every topic I can think of, I've decided to go ahead and start.
This will be as low budget as I can possibly keep it.
One of our budtenders had been gathering seeds for about 2 months now, he had 6 total, one of which literally came out of the Jack Herer jar (I hope she's a girl!!) This isn't crap weed either, his stuff is top notch.
Anyway, Day 1, germination and grow box setup:
Don't laugh at me, I'm using my kitchens dishwasher as my grow box, it's about 2 feet by 2 feet, I took the front apart yesterday and found that it has a decent sized intake with something blocking it, which was easily removed with 2 screws. Today I went to Fry's and bought a pc fan, I'm going to try and set it up so that the fan is inside the dishwasher sucking air in, through charcoal and then back out again.
Attached are a few pics. I'm only starting with one single seed for now as a practice run, hopefully if I can get the dishwasher idea to work
ANY comments, criticism, stabs, etc are welcomed. I have about a month to try this out before I might have to bail on the project anyway, we might move...

So i went yesterday and got my rec, i'm a patient now. Went to the collective right next door, got an 1/8th of Mango for $30 and got 2 free bubble hash cookies.

Got another seed today, Private Reserve, our budtender gave us a deal on the left over so I decided to roll a small joint, then I saw some things that looked like it may have been a hermie and sure enough, inside a really hairy cocoon was a seed. This strain is really rare, I can't even find it on marijuanareviews.com, tried googling it too but not much on it.
Here are some pics of the clone I adopted tdoay at around 3 weeks old. I'm also attaching a close up pic of the Private Reserve strain that I took for my weediary a few months ago.

Hey Baja I had a question for you, if i am planning on doing a box for flowering, how many cfl's do you think i would need for 6 plants? and what size of a box?
I was thinking something like this, but that many lights seems overkill, how many do you think would be just right?

I honestly don't know, this is my first time growing and I am yet to reach the flowering stage. When I do, I will have the 400w hps setup that was donated to me. I will most likely always use cfl for seedlings and vegging, for flowering I'll stick with hps
That does seem overkill to me though, he might as well bought a 400w hps setup... you can get them setup for 120v on craiglist for $50-70, the guy lives in Santee and refurbishes old stuff to work well and even gives a 15 day warranty on it.
