NO, NO and NO ! lol
Your ppm's will be whatever they are even after the nutes have been added.
Tap water = 250
Add nutes = 50
Total ppm = 300

Yes but when a feeding schedule tells me to have a nutrient ppm of 300 do you add 300 or have a 300ppm total?

Two things;

first off, i noticed that this thread has over 1k views; either the 5/0 is on the hunt, or people are very interested but have nothing to say :P
second; what wattage HPS should i use given the current setup i have. I currently have a 90w, 250w, and 400w HPS setupi can use; but considering im only growing one plant in a smaller space; what would be ideal choice?

Hilarious... I would put that 250w on it now and after a couple more sets of leaves put the 400w above... You can keep it a few feet away and it ll keep em real squatty

Yea im currently putting the 250 watt on her for 18/6. I think im going to keep the 250 the entire time though.

Update with pics later tonight

Finally an update everyone:

Day 19/20

Well i had a slight speed bump earlier this week, came in to see the beginnings of what looked like a slight nute burn. So I checked ppm and it was at 500 flat; i figured that was okay but i still pumped out quarter of the res and filled the rest with pHed RO water. PPM came to 312 so i left it as it was. The next day i came in and it seemed the plant was now having another problem; looked as if she was having nitrogen deficiency. After checking ppm on the water i was still around 300 so i knew the only thing left was the pH. Surely enough somehow the pH managed to raise up to 7.5 and was causing a slight nutrient lockout as a result. So after all that and putting the pH back down to 6.0 +-.25 everything seems to be okay and the new leaf sets are now back to being darker green with no signs of nute burn.

and of course; here are the pictures for you lazy people who don't like to read all my nonsense : P

On a side note, sorry for the crap picture angles; couldn't see what i was doing without the grow lights on :leaf:

On a further side note, i can be a few inches away from the leaves now and smell the delicious "skunk" odor everyone raves about

150th post!

sorry for being away for such a long time everyone, been dealing with some private matters.

and Marlowe, im actually going to keep the 250 on the entire grow; light was only 8 inches away and i was getting some light burn so i moved it up to about 12 inches away; one problem i may see in the future is that ill run out of room vertically because the waterfarm takes a good 2 feet up right there alone. It may simply just be the reflector i have on the system is magnifying the light too much in one particular area.
