Still fighting the heat.

Been thinking and pondering the "heat" question / issue a bit myself now.
Having noticed stress issues myself when the temps get to 85+ F degrees (even for just a few hours),, it sparked a interest.

This is not to be considered as a truism, fact, or anything of the sort. It's simply an old stoner's thoughts.

From my understanding, many (not saying all) of these AF strains were intentionally aimed to be grown in the more northern, short season, and colder climates like Holland, Canada, Ireland, etc. That would explain possibly why I see stress when I reach around lower 80's plus on my temps. Even for a (relatively) short period. Add to that the idea that most are indica dominant in nature seems to support this notion (for my mind).

Remember, these are just stoner thoughts.

The start of the next grow willbe thru the harder part of winter in this area. I'll experiment a little to see if I can make this idea hold water. So far, it seems to be a relevant notion (to me).

If my hunch is correct, growing a AF in the summer for me could be a frustrating thing.

As per last update on Ugly Betty,, we're out of room.

And about 1 3/4 left on the bottom


As you can see, my intakes are on the bottom of the cab and can't just set the pot there. It would reduce an already minimal airflow.

Something had to be done,,,


And we did it.

Few hours later,, we split it.


But the original main cola is already reaching nicely.


Only wished I'd gotten to it a bit earlier.

it should still recover i split a stem on my last grow and it produced the fattest buds on the plant, it wasn't with an auto though

Purple stems don't worry me much because this strain has Indaca genes. Also, some of the stems are the same color as my nute solution.

Yup, just a rookie's mistake. Should of crushed a bit more each side of the bend,,, and bent it before water / feeding. Was really flexable at first. Then fed and by the time I got around to deciding which way to go, it stiffend up on me.
I've had them before too with no prob as a result. It'll be fine.

Okay guys here is an update on Mable day 29. She is really starting to get smelly I had to add about another inch of soil, I guess it settles after a while with all the watering and such. Your guys' plants are looking great!
